this old thread caught my eye.. I do a lot of hunting on ADK state land in Lewis county .. Over the years I have found several pot plots in the middle of the woods.. they usually bury a plastic drum to collect rain water and they're easy to spot.. The plant stalks are usually piled up also..
hunting at home it's always balloons, never found a note with one yet..
then spring cleaning the 700' of my home road frontage has turned up two dildo's over the last 12 years..

I found a couple old junk cars up in the Adirondack Mts. and immediately thought of the movie "the Hills Have Eyes", They had been there for years/decades. One was an old 50's Buick and another was on old pick up truck, went back a year later and couldn't find them.
My Ex brother in law found a nice 12ga semi auto partially loaded with slugs near a gut pile! He had been sitting there since dawn and saw nobody so he kept it.
When I bought my hunting property I found a pile of old car batteries, I took them in for scrap.

My friends mom used to regularly read the "Weekly World News", a supermarket tabloid like the Enquirer.We were looking at them and one of the best front page stories was about some sot who went missing for 2 weeks in Arkansas or some such.Wife had the cops out looking for him>When he turned up,he claimed he was abducted by a female bigfoot and raped for 2 weeks.Cant print it if it aint true.

Had a friend who went bear hunting , He saw a bear and squeezed off a shot, the bear fell into the grass, He went over to take a look and he didn't see him. all of sudden the bear stood up beside him knocked his rifle from his hands and began to rape him , over and over. The next week he went out again to find that dam bear that raped him, He spotted him again and shot, the bear fell into some brush , when he went over to look, the bear came up knocked the rifle out of his hands and began to rape him over and over again. He went out again the next weekend and the same thing happened again . The guy was furious! The next week he went out again , took a shot and when he went over the bear knocked the rifle from his hands and said You don't really come out here to hunt do ya?

Any more strange stuff in the woods over the last 3 1/2 years?I shot the second biggest buck of my life last opening day of gun season,while I had 102 degree temp and covid lol.i couldn't skip opening day

Once while bow hunting I saw a guy walking around wearing nothing but a pair of felt pack boots. It was about 40° outside, maybe a little less. He was just walking around talking to himself. He never saw me up in the climbing treestand. Im surprised he didn't hear me laughing. When he got a fair distance away, I got on the radio and warned the other guys at camp about him. Nobody else saw him that day, but he showed up on a trail camera a couple days later.

I watched one climb the stairs not too long ago. About 10 steps. Went up, looked around , went back down

I saw a ghost in the woods this morning. I have never had any interest or belief in any sort of paranormal or alien type bs. Now I believe.Was walking along a trail this morning about 8 am. Theres a stretch that passes a very steep section.Probably 60 or 70 degrees as it winds around this mountain. Steep enough that even my dogs dont chase anything up it and I certainly wouldnt try to climb it. So my dogs start whining and baying looking up the hill. I look up and there's a woman in a flowing blue dress that looks like it could be a nightgown. She's walking paralell to us about 50 yds up the hill. She is barefoot. As she is walking the sun is casting long shadows and there are "sunlit lanes".As she passes thru the shadows she seems to disappear and reappear as she passes thru the sun lit spots. It was extremely surreal and she was walking very flowingly, not tripping or appearing to be stepping over or around things. She stops and slowly turns facing us and raises her arm and points at something beyond us. I turn to see what she's pointing at and see nothing. Look back and now she starts walking again. Now as she steps into the shaded stretch I'm looking for her to reappear in the next stretch of sun light and nothing, she's gone. Fuckin weird. A pretty desolate area and no good reason for what I saw.

My dad clocked one with a 2x4 once. It had climbed a fence post and its head was sitting on top, looking around. For whatever reason, it stayed there long enough for my dad to find the board, walk up to it, and take it out. A few months later he found a woodchuck skull with a crease in the top of it.
