I believe this was just a vote to continue last years budget until May 31 because Cumholio and the legislature could not come to agreement on the new budget. He is trying to add policy to a budgetary process. Typical strong arm tactics from the Princess. He has been running for POTUS since November 9th 2016 and on New York States money to boot!

That's an emergency funding bill until the budget passes. Sure I'm sure it supports part of the safe act, but could you imagine if they voted no on the budget to stop funding the social programs in NYS. It would a riot.

In the law, crime prevention part I didnt see anything directly addressing the SafeAct. Its just extending the current budget.

Let's be real here folks. No one. Not democrats or republicans are going to shut down state government over the SAFE Act. Personally, I think it should, but no one is going to stop welfare checks from flowing because SAFE is unconstitutional. Basically this is a continuing resolution to keep the welfare checks rolling until a final budget is made.

Video feed tonite or tomorrow. The Senate hasn't voted on this yet but as it goes Flanagan is here in meetings making deals and commitments...then when the Senate reconvenes all republicans vote in lockstep the way they are told like the borg.

No surprise, we need to get people voted in who will actually stand up for something. Hey, Il Duce you want a budget, we will not vote for any funding of the unSAFE act. Yet watch, come reelection every Rebloodican running again will tout how they stand up for your 2nd Amendment right. It is a con job, they know how to pull the strings on many hearts, come November.
What can be done is a concerted effort to get real fighters into office. Do not follow the party line, if you know your Senator is running again, help find somebody who can beat them. Ask the candidate what they truly mean when they say "I am for the 2nd Amendment".

Update: A.3009 still being discussed, this one has "raise the age" "uber" "Millionnaires tax" "shared services" among other things...but they called a recess..so more delays... next up A.3000 State Operations Budget (unsafe act State Police funding), then finally repeal of the "budget extender"
