This just betrays your ignorance of the the English language, Just what situation of ours is untenable? And where is this historical proof of it?

In the military , we used the term to describe an indefensible position , You used it as an adjective to describe the situation, Untenable modifies the situation The situation is ""ours"" or Humans, meaning Humans have an untenable or indefensible position .

Its pretty clear you made a mistake, thats Ok, I do it all the time. But Im man enough to be honest about it.

It is. Something else I find interesting is they say about the Carver's accident... How does it take an hour to put out a car fire? I've seen my share of car fires on the highway here and one right by my home when I was younger and it never took the FD more than 15 minutes to extinguish those fires. Are they pissing on the fire? Unless they're saying it took an hour to get there.
