Julia Salazar, the Democratic Socialist candidate running for New York state Senate, was arrested in 2011 on allegations of fraudulently attempting to access the bank account of Kai Hernandez, a family friend and then-wife of baseball star Keith Hernandez.

None of it mattered. Cortez and the DSA stood behind Salazar. And the creepy DSA troll is now a New York State Senator.

This is true. I remember reading about the soviet union about 35 years ago. The article described it as the biggest goof-off society where people did the absolute minimum. The surprising thing was the article was in the NY Times of all places! Back when they were only left of center and not batshit crazy progressive like they are now.
