I'm attending a wedding soon. What goes best with a dark grey suit? A stainless commander 1911 or a Sig 365?

That's a tough one Tog, Thought I think the 365 is fit for a spectrum of occasions.

If the wedding is in Texas I would suggest the Stainless 1911 with antique Ivory grips in Black Leather OWB.

If it is in NYistan, my understanding is Black leather IWB with matching gun belt, black alligator leather watch band, black shoes, matching buckles on watch / belt in stainless (mandatory if gun frames or slides are stainless) or brished nickel.

With a good belt a 1911 with nice grips is always in style, if you are dancing go for the Sig so your pants stay fashionable for photos.

Even better .... carry both. In some NY venues I would recommend the 1911 on your body with the Sig as a BUG.

In a well tailored Tux, especially if in the Wedding party, I have been known to trim down to one or two Sig P238s. It sounds to me a wedding is a good reason to shop for a new holster or the perfect deep cover gun.

I was at a black tie formal where a friend shoulder carried a 686 ( can't remember if it was a 4 or 6) and it really carried well. You may have three options.
