Actually it was run by Queens DA Melinda Katz. She is getting credit card information from either the credit card companies or the out of state manufacturers on Queens residents and then conducting the investigation using her office and the State Police. That is the sketchy shit.

They are only following after they get info from the cc companies or the out of state manufacturering companies. That's the sketchy as AF part. Everyone was surprised about what happened in Canada lately with people's financial info, but it's been happening here also.

They have been doing this for many years for guns (all year) and fireworks (4th of July). They know when the displays are happening, assign undercovers to look for NY/NJ license plates in the parking lot, follow those people around, and take notice of WHAT THEY BOUGHT.

Simple really. Do not drive to these shows unless you want to be followed around by who knows who from who knows what agency. Rent a car with out of state plates. He was an easy target for buying those 'standard capacity' magazines and maybe had indicators in the car that he was a NYC resident, such as NYFD decal, or something like that. Agencies are always looking out for whatever does not seem right at these shows. Now, if he would have dropped these items off in PA at his 'in-laws' for safe keeping, no rules broken.

Sorry, going to have too disagree. A lawyer 2 weeks out of law school would get all of the evidence tossed out during the pre trial hearings if they did it the way you described. First question asked would be why are you running a plate to find out who they are.
This case is being run by the DA's office. No way a detective, who's boss is a lawyer, would be presenting this to a grand jury without a air tight investigation behind it.
Progressive DA's, lead by our State AG, are using threats to Credit card companies and out of state manufacturers of gun parts for them to pass on information if someone orders certain items if they live in counties run by these DA's.

You're right that the 80% isn't a firearm.

In adjoining states, you can purchase a firearm as long as it's legal in your home state (I believe that's how it reads, I could be wrong).

You can buy long guns out-of-state from an FFL (no private sales between residents of different states without going thru an FFL). Handguns need to be shipped to an FFL in your own state.

Yea I bought a shotgun from psa in sc face to face.. went through the whole rigamoroll and the guy comes out and says “boss says we can’t sell to Ny residents”. So I ordered it online ( was a killer deal I couldn’t pass) and had it shipped.

Nothing he purchased is illegal in PA and everything he purchased for the exception of the "high capacity" mags are legal in NYS.

The shotgun was not in NYC because you need a bullshit permit for NYC.

The P80s are chunks of plastic. As much as the cunt Letitcia James or any other idiot likes to claim, there is no law stating they are illegal in NY; state or locality.

New York State Police pulled Martin over on the Belt Parkway in Howard Beach and found the parts and ammunition purchased at the gun show along with brass knuckles, according to the Queens DA’s office.

Ok. What if he wasn't planning on stopping anywhere in NY? It's legal to transport through the state and these asshats know it. My mother lives in VT. If I buy something NY considers illegal in PA and then drive to her house with it without stopping in NY It's legal. If they pull me over in NY just because I bought something they don't like It's an illegal stop. If i broke a traffic law and they pulled me over I still have the right to continue to my destination in VT without being arrested.
