Featureless AR-15 Stock !

It's NY and it's too close to a pistol grip. The angle isn't even canted. And if we're honest it IS a pistol grip with a little bit of plastic attached to it lol.

ETA: investigating it a little bit further it's not even attached to the grip. So removing the stuff in the center is totally out. Total roll of the dice now.

I'm SO glad I left that shit hole. My AR prefers adjustable stocks, likes to stretch it's legs once in awhile

I did not say it would not comply, I said I would NOT comply. I myself will hold out for the law on stock, grip, to be VOID.. What cuomo did was NOT legal. It may not be today or tomorrow but time will pass, and SO WILL CUOMO LAW !!! If you like that fumbly awkward handling pos AR stuff build one/ buy one..... I will wait.... I have great confidence I will be back legal with a REAL safe AR15 not to distance in future.

In the meantime those of us that bend over with featureless rifles at NY ranges are practicing changing magazines and steadily doing malfunction drills.

To each his own. I'll wait..... And use bolt action for now. in 2012-13 I hunted next to a airport, parked beside me was a Sheriff and a NYS Trooper, they got out talked etc... What a NICE rifle one says.... I would NEVER do that today with a featureless AR15...... I'll wait, time will come again.

That's an excellent question. The grip would NOT be considered a pistol grip because it would be no different than those considerations of 14" shotguns with the sawed of style grip or the lever action mares leg "handguns" that do not have pistol grips.

The entire featureless parts are a malfunction of an AR15, it's same as putting 21in wheels on a 63 split window Vette .... It don't work, handle, etc... Not to mention just East LA stupid !!

And you base this on what? I fire and handle mine just fine like I did when I had a Mini 14.

Grip angle is the only change. Guess what? It still fires, cycles, and fires again.

I believe they could have straightened it out but kept the grip angle to be safe. It could have been like this with the grip angle straight and just a little shaved off the bottom of the grip.

Did you add material to it? If so how would you get your fingers around it? Also what would shaving it do? Could you put a post on the front of a pistol if you shaved off some of it?

You only need enough for your thumb to go through. I added material to the drawing and shaved the bottom of the grip off so that it wouldn't even look like a pistol grip.

Of course a small minority shoot unregistered, fully featured AR's at 90 percent of ranges. Many don't. It isn't a majority because it's not worth losing your life over unless you are a fool.

I don't see what your are taking about in regards to the other fingers. They don't need to wrap around. Look at the pic below and pretend the grip is straight. Why would the bottom 3 fingers be a problem?



In this picture, my 3 fingers don't wrap completely around. The thumb is the only one that needs to.

Well, if grip angle is all it's about, then why not use a grip angled like the Thordsen less the stock part? So you'd have a grip like an old pirate flintlock but the butt stock would remain on the buffer tube. So it'd be an AR with a grip angled like a traditional rifle.
