Featureless AR-15 Stock !

I don't see what your are taking about in regards to the other fingers. They don't need to wrap around. Look at the pic below and pretend the grip is straight. Why would the bottom 3 fingers be a problem?

I guess I misinterpreted the picture you modified from Corgi. It looked to me like you added a whole bunch of extra material. I guess you only shaved the front to round it off. IDK if that would still be considered a traditional grip. Still 90 degrees but just rounded off.

Well, if grip angle is all it's about, then why not use a grip angled like the Thordsen less the stock part? So you'd have a grip like an old pirate flintlock but the butt stock would remain on the buffer tube. So it'd be an AR with a grip angled like a traditional rifle.

I'm sure you could. Why that wasn't done from the beginning IDK but remember it's NY. Without the rest of it that turns into the butt stock it might look too much like a pistol grip.

Someone will have to try either modifying an AR thumb hole stock or getting something like Will posted, but without it being tested in the courts it's all compliant.

That's the crappy thing. There is no guidance and that right there should make the law unconstitutional on it's face. But...NY.

Let's face it, everything is a technicality. We will never get clarification.
All you can do is find something that you're willing to take a chance with.

I say no go because you still have a pistol grip attached.
The fact that it's blocked by the metal fin doesn't change the fact that a pistol grip is attached.

I agree. That is why I believe if there is no pistol grip but rather only a stock that could be held like a pistol grip with the same angle as a pistol grip, it would be legal.
