I mean communism at its principle makes sense right? You get a job that needs to be done and you all get paid the same to do that job. Problem is the government gets greedy and so do people and it fails. The idea isn’t terrible. Just like I feel on government mandated socialism isn’t bad either.
Now now boys don’t get mad because I don’t support either and if you e paid attention to my posts you’d know that. the human element of greed ruins most things and capitalism is the only thing that seems to reward you for your effort.

Communism at its core is collectivist. Anyone claiming to be an individual is considered a heretic to be culled. Anyone claiming to own their own body or own their own destiny is considered a heretic to be culled. It is why, as the saying goes, "commies aren't people," because they identify as drone-class insects. Similar to how a 5YO child is not considered their own person, but... a lot worse.

Correct and that’s why I said it doesn’t work in humans. It makes sense that everyone has a job and fair pay for that job but greed at the top and in the ranks makes it not feasible. Also the government takes the place of family, religion and principle in most situations of communism to create a collectivism mentality as mentioned above.
I should have made it more clear that the everyone has work for fair pay is what I meant is a good principle. It will never work broad spectrum but has in small communities. There are many hippy or farm communities where people work for food and shelter and they are happy. Now these people likely have low ambition and only do it for a season in life but some do it their entire life and it works. I get it’s different than the government mandating it or controlling it but this was the idea I had in mind.

The commies I've met come across in two types.
One is the misguided type who cares deeply for his fellow man and wants the world's injustices solved so that the world's bounty could be shared and enjoyed by all. This type is usually humble enough to believe that he isn't fit for leadership in this utopia, but that there's some better saint oit there who would do it right.
The other type is a miserable creature driven by envy. He is lazy and can't stand that others have more through their hard work. He believes his higher education in some bullshit subject should equate a paycheck with minimal further effort because it has proven him smarter, and therefore better than everyone else. This is usually the type that has the "solutions" to all the world's problems figured out and that the masses should bow and submit to his brilliance.
Both sound the same out loud. The difference is in their actions. The first type is very rare. If they were religious, they'd be the type to go out doing good in their god's name. They will practice what they preach and regularly do charitable and humanitarian work. They carry themselves with humility that the second type can't fake. The second type is lazy, useless, and entitled. They don't want a fair society, they really want a daddy government to spoil them either how their well-off parents did, or how they imagine more privileged people's parents do. They aren't willing to work harder or smarter to make better lives for themselves or the world, but are willing to destroy, like toddlers throwing tantrums.
I have nothing but contempt for the latter type. Helicopter rides are too good for them. Being worked to death would be more appropriate. As for the former, I think their hearts are in the right place and they tend to be incredibly nice, genuinely good people. Communism could actually work if everyone were like them. Their problem is naivity. The rest of the world isn't like them. Most people aren't. They don't have a good solution for the free-rider problem because they assume that people would just be good if only they treated each other generously. They don't understand that some people will suck no matter how well you treat them, and that most people deeply want some material advantage over everyone else.

Awesome words spoken there and that’s what I mean by communism or socialism working. It works in small settings but can’t work in large settings due to greed and humans sucking. You generally are what you love around and if you live in a shitty slum than you usually are that. If you live in an awesome small community you usually are that.

As soon as the community gets large enough where you deal with people you don't know, then communism collapses.
Bernie sanders got kicked out of a kibbutz for being a moocher. That happened because *everyone* knew he didn't pull his weight.
As soon as the society is too large for that sort of communal social knowledge to spread organically, then the communist system either collapses under the weight of the free riders, or it devolves into an authoritarian dystopia as the bureaucrats try to assign "their fair share" of work to everyone, under pain of prosecution
