The closure of seven wholesalers last year hurt a lot of FFLs. Places like Jerry's and Greene's were my old go-to options for ordering stuff.Willing to share some suppliers?
Problem is that anti gun governors and local politicians will feel no need to follow that ruling.Well DHS gave a big suck it to the people trying to slip gun control in to COVID-19 response.
DHS Says Firearms Retailers, Manufacturers ARE ‘Essential Businesses’: BREAKING NEWS
The Department of Homeland Security has declared firearms manufacturers & gun retailers “essential businesses,” driving a spike through the heart of various state & local “emergency" lockdowns.www.ammoland.com
I just saw this so if someone already posted it great but this means business open and even ranges are essential now.
Good shit Trump.
Easy, put table in garage.I think the out of home "table top" ffl's are fine to do business if they are comfortable with bringing people into their home shop amidst all this virus stuff.
But wouldn’t DHS and Trump ruling trump the governors? Please correct me if I’m wrong.Problem is that anti gun governors and local politicians will feel no need to follow that ruling.
With the courts shut down, there is no venue open by which to challenge these politicians who refuse to allow firearms retail operations to continue
So how the fuck do we get these unconstitutional corrupt politicians out of office?Yes technically....but technically the us constitution does too. I seems to be ignored.
I like that energy.FFL's can now disregard what the Governor wants and stores can continue to ship to FFL's..That's how that works!
In the end, after a long battle, would the Governors be forced to concede? Sure. But wouldn’t DHS and Trump ruling trump the governors? Please correct me if I’m wrong.
This is causing a whole gaglefuck. FUAC!In the end, after a long battle, would the Governors be forced to concede? Sure.
Up to that point, good luck for the brick and mortar stores in localities who will fight their being open tooth and nail.
Look at how many places want to disregard Heller and MacDonald, and those are SCOTUS rulings with more teeth to them than an administrative declaration.
Maybe I am too pessimistic...
But wouldn’t DHS and Trump ruling trump the governors? Please correct me if I’m wrong.
Ahh thanks for the information. Sucks to suck. This is not a "ruling"
This is advisory in nature and carries absolutely no weight. It even says so in the memo itself.
And Cuomo is just the type of guy to put Troopers in the driveway of every gun shop in the state out of spite.
I just want a full auto short barrel assault rifle that I can purchase online without background check shipped to my house just like the news and politicians said.
Are there no lawyers smart enough to pull together a lawsuit against Cuomo specifically, and the state for dereliction of duty? Deliberate misdirection of public services? Suppression of constitutional rights? He may think he is the dictator of NYS, but actually he is not. I'll bet that if there were some lawyers that advanced a solid case, they could find some financial backing. This is not a "ruling"

Exactly. You can totally do all kinds of business and minimize the risk. Keep distance. Sterilize things. It's simple. Not for nothing but I had a rifle come in through GunBroker. Normal business so I call the person. She said she might have been exposed and to hang on to it for two weeks.
"No problem I say and thanks for your honesty."
Didn't they say that landscaping was an essential service for some reason? Thought I saw a post about that a day or so back....Exactly. You can totally do all kinds of business and minimize the risk. Keep distance. Sterilize things. It's simple.
My landscape company got shut down. We work in people's back yards with minimal contact normally. With our work there's almost no risk yet the economic damage is being imposed. It could be reduced to practically 0% risk if we have one guy per site. But, instead we all have to go full retard... fuck it, I'll keep the couch toasty and burn through Evan Williams.
So it's weird...they said landscaping in terms of grounds maintenance is OK. But non essential construction like hardscape is NOT allowed. It's absurd...we could go to a clients house and rake leaves or mow a lawn, but we could not build a brick walkway or retaining wall in that same yard.Didn't they say that landscaping was an essential service for some reason? Thought I saw a post about that a day or so back....
What's the penalty for defying the order ?Didn't they say that landscaping was an essential service for some reason? Thought I saw a post about that a day or so back....
Supposedly it is a $10,000 fineWhat's the penalty for defying the order ?
Yeah man....after this is over, I think the preppers that were considered looneys will be looked at a little bit differently. Many more people will be interested in preparing for the unknown.Preparedness = all the things you do to prepare for something like this.
The whole idea behind preparedness is TO GET READY IN ADVANCE.
