Have not sent it off yet, but when talking with glock my one ace in the hole to try and avoid the permit office was telling them how the number was registered on my license. So I guess they send a letter of destruction or some shit that I take in to the permit office

The VTAC/SAI magwell came in a while ago but have no G19 to put it on.
Was going to ship out my chopped 19 back to glock and they would replace it for $100+tax, 2 week turn around. Shipped there on my dime, which yeah I dont blame them.
Reasons for not getting on that yet, 1 I procrastinate, 2 every estimate I get for shipping is like $50-90 meh I'm not that much in a hurry to finish this fun project. 3 I haven't printed off the warranty card to fill out meh and lastly 4 dealing with taking the original SN off my license then adding the new SN
Well looks like I've found a lead on a place that gets Gen 4 G19 frames from time to time (well actually the get full glocks and then part them out) currently all sold out but a stripped G19 frame is $79.00 and on an e-mail list for when they are in stock.
Figure save $20 right off the bat, plus shipping, all that saved can be added to more parts for the project

ok horrible representation and pictures of a "mock up", fit the magwell onto the chopped 17 for shits and giggles, it could work if i put the time and effort into it so ill just leave it the way it is cause meh

I was going to do a G19 build next but I think I've been swayed to a G32 build.
So here is my take it or leave it advice lol, (what I'm wishing I did, but know why I didnt), get a 23 (gross .40sw) and now you have a frame for 9mm .40 and .357sig with just swapping slides.
Granted I keep trying find if you can do a 9mm swap on a .357sig (which if that's possible then yea snag the 32 and then can do a 9mm slide later) if that all makes sense

Ok so other than actually finding a 32 for sale.... I cant seem to find 100% for sure if I can take a 32 frame and slap on stock complete 19 slide and barrel and be good 2 go (I know I can on a 23 but idk about a 32)

I pretty much have done that with my G22. I will be buying the .357 sig barrel when money comes available. I really want to modify my G43 for a optic and a personalization. If I do go and do this I wont have a carry gun when it's out for work. This is where I think I want to do a compact gun build. Still haven't bought the stock gun so there's still time to change my mind.
I would like to see some more reviews of this one. Sucks it would have to be welded.

I believe that its still pre-order ( i did read some article or something a while back saying something that the barrel company may not be the most reliable sadly) and unfortunately its still not exactly FUAC legal. i mean part of me wants to say it would be good to go since its a proprietary threading but not sure if the compensator would then be considered a "barrel extension" and then making it illegal its such a shit written law obviously. but even the company suggest if you live in say "california" just silver solder over the roll pin.

yea its still threaded but only thing that goes with the treads (it looks to be like maybe 2 or 3 threads in all) is the comp and at almost $400 for the barrel and comp thats a real dedicated situation..
atleast with many of the other ones in the $75-90 range you can snag up a inexpensive match grade barrel and not have to much invested and if you ever want it off just cut the barrel and put the OEM back in (not ideal but not horrrrrible,i say that to convince myself if i do ever get to do this i can always just throw it all out lol)

It's pretty sad how we have to fight tooth and nail for a simple add-on. Like Will has stated has questionable benefits(I'm like Edward and think there is something to it).

right and it kinda sucks because i cant sit there and argue that oh so i cant have this one thing which you think makes a gun more scary baby killer aka more user friendly or idk, but then in the same breath say that i want to be able to have a comp because it will help me with shooting flatter and faster follow up shots............. catch 22
and honestly there might not be much to a 9mm with a comp (god i really wish .357sig won or atleast beat stupid .40) but taking something soft shooting and make it even softer why the F not, not to mention giving something the ability to amp up the pressures for better barrier penetration and what not but also at the same time having less recoil (the more pressure and hotter the round the better the comp works)
If comps didn't make a difference then race guns wouldn't have them. As far to the point they will make the gun too long to conceal, I'm not 100% sure. But considering I've never tried to conceal a full size gun so maybe it would be an issue. I am of the difference of opinion of both you and will with ballistics but that's been argued to death and wont do it again.
