Oh and then there's Canada and cutting off people from their electronically stored money because these bad, bad people had the gall to protest violations of their rights.

Seems a dubious poll result. In time the tech on this could get good enough to have some use cases. As it is there are some who might benefit from being armed but cannot risk it (e.g. prison transport or something if there is a large risk of being disarmed).

I imagine long term (way long term) it could be evolved such that a camera on the gun would prevent it from shooting certain people. Somebody like putin might utilize that so that his own guards don't shoot him, for example.

I can absolutely see this becoming a very popular option for “our newly adopted brethren “ in the gun community during the plandemic. And amongst those who are on the fence about purchasing their first firearm. That is a very large amount of people as we’ve seen in the last 2 years , who will be all in on this, whether they/we admit it or not. The younger crowd of newbies will be all about the “tech” involved in it with absolutely no comprehension of what could go wrong

And a failed & unproven technology as of yet! Magnets bypassed the RFID tech and batteries kill all...

If someone called you on the phone and asked you if you owned guns what would you say? I know my answer would be no leave me alone. So I’m guessing only those that are fairly liberal answered yes to owning guns or this is completely fabricated.

This says a lot. Just 5% of gun owners surveyed by the American Journal of Preventative Medicine in 2019 said they would be very likely to purchase a smart gun. Dilute that down to “somewhat likely” and the figure hops up to just 13%.
I know they say prices dropped, but I’m in to guns and I couldn’t tell you what the prices are today or what they were in 2019.

Most people experienced with a gun are comfortable firing/trying other guns, but don't try to blow smoke up my ass telling me 55% of Gun Owners want the technology. ANYTIME someone presents percentages you'd damn well better do some critical thinking about the question and the way it was posed especially with agenda driven Media. Personally I'm waiting for the Disintegration Ray Gun that vaporizes targets leaving nothing but dust....THOSE will be "warmed up to" very quickly.
