How’d it get stolen?1. Dad's Sears bolt action .22 that he traded something for (skates?) when he was a kid. Still have it.
2. Used Marlin 12 Guage pump (4 digit serial - Smoothest action ever) that got stolen. I'm still pissed 25 years later.
What did you expect? The vast majority of shooters get started with the .22.Damn. Everyone here is a .22 xD
That’s what my grandfather did when I shot the mosin, he would put my on the becnch, hold my shoulder and the front of the gun. I remember having to use 2 fingers to pull the damn trigger on the thingI shot a BB gun first. After that, I'm not totally sure. It may have been my father's Remington 1100 12 gauge. I remember being young enough where I couldn't even hold it up all the way. My father had to hold his hand under the barrel about halfway down it. @Cleck was there for that.
The first gun I bought myself was an M&P9c. I had others gifted to me before that, like a Marlin Model 60 and an Ithaca 16 gauge shotgun.
Growing up, guns were strictly for hunting. We had shotguns for deer hunting (rifles weren't legal yet) and .22s for small game like squirrels. That's it. No rifles and no handguns. It wasn't until I moved out of my parents that I really started to have an interest in guns. Before that, they were simply a tool. They were no different than having a couple saws, one for metal and one for wood.

BB gun, I nailed a starling, not sure how old I was, 9-10. First gun I bought for myself was a classic, the Winchester model 12, pump action 12 Ga., shotgun.
