Sorry, yeah, I like it. But to be honest, why not just plug the gas port in your barrel and get yourself a side charging upper and make your own "bolt action" AR? I was actually hoping for an AR with an upper that had something more like a 700 type action.

Not what ya need, it's what ya WANT LOL. I hunted with just about every freaking gun out there, (exaggeration a bit). In 2007 My new hunting fun was the AR, then came safe act. I'm not going gray area in law with this and that crap mags etc.. or UGLY ass NYS legal AR's. This is fast, smooth, legal, and freaking nice looking... Like car shows.... It ain't what ya bought... IT"S WHAT YA BUILT !!

But for that price I can custom build a AR15 + AR10 in bolt-action.

Kind of, in a way with me. I have a lot of fun hunting with the AR, I could feed this about as fast, but not needed EVER hunting, just a fun gun to hunt with compared to my old bolt stuff yawn.... It just puts a bit more excitement in to it is all, compared to old wood bolt guns from years past....

Yup many ways, styles. Just a nice shelf gun is all. I like it !!! been there done that... with similar..

I gotta concur, I would rather have a turnbolt if going with a manual action.
The AR's charging handle works great in an autoloader but is cumbersome for default manual cycling.
But hey, if @Bushmaster likes it then super. Buy it, post it and I'll dub thee Sir Awesome.

Don't forget Savage put one of these on the market too and with their reputation of accurate rifles I wouldn't hesitate buying one.

I really think this sort of idea is going to catch on and the manufacturers are going to start running with them. Personally I'm going to wait a few years and let them get the gremlins out and also add to the design some more. My guess is quick detach barrels will become normal to you can shoot 223, 308, and other calibers from the same gun.

Regarding the OP? It is indeed an AR, just with a manually cycled action.

So your paying for a nonfunctioning AR twice the price of a higher end functoining on. If you said it was a true bolt actoin not a mondern Smith-Rubin I'd be interested.

This was my thought. Something like that single shot 50 from a while back. But in more modest calibers.
