According to Joe Hernandez of WHYY in a piece published September 13:

Judges have approved requests to use the state’s new “red flag” law more than once a day on average since it took effect on Sept. 1. Under the legislation, law enforcement agencies can confiscate the guns of a person who poses a threat to themselves or others after getting judicial approval.

Which could make anyone with even a passing interest about rights wonder why these strongarm agents of the state of New Jersey don’t hang their heads in shame.

Based on NJ Attorney General Gurbir Grewal's insulting statements, perhaps they don’t have the capacity to feel shame.

‘We are not violating Second Amendment rights,’ said New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal at a public training on the new law Thursday. ‘We are just enabling reasonable measures to promote public safety and to make sure we are keeping firearms out of the hands of individuals who shouldn’t have them.’

And even if the people kicking in doors knew it was wrong, they were going to round up those criminals anyway because they wanted their pensions more than their honor.

Where is the due process of these owners? Is there credible evidence that they are going to commit a crime or cause violence? If so, why not arrest them? Can they face their accusers in a court of law? If not this is an unconstitutional law and nothing short of a scene out of Minority Report.

Translation - We are avoiding the people's Rights and using the corrupt judges to take away your right of due process of the law. We are giving power to people who do not have such power. We are using kind words to explain why we can do the people wrong.

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Folks, this was the one used to support the invocation of "penumbras, formed by emanations" to create a new right out of thin air to support abortion, a.k.a. the murder of prenatal human beings under color of law. Seems to me that it could also be used to support an EXPLICITLY enumerated right, such as the 2A, without any legal subterfuge. The left subscribes to the theory of "one judge, one ruling, one time" ratcheting their agenda forward; I say it's long past time for our side to do a little judge shopping.

The alternatives are too ghastly for society at large. CW2 and 1984 are not acceptable choices, as both are the result of allowing the left free reign to implement their agenda without pursuing any reasonable means of thwarting them. They have been using Lawfare against us for the last 50 years. Trump has rolled this back a little by having 152 Article III judges confirmed by the Senate. We have to figure out how to step up and utilize these appointments to our advantage.
