Sometimes I do, but my legs are still jelly from the other night so I was on the stopwatch. Are you running the course with them?

That's a good routine you got going. And I like the upper lower split. My joints can't take four days of lifting though so I alternate by doing two upper body days and one lower body day one week, and then the next week will be to lower body days one upper body day.Over the last two weeks I have completely revamped my training routine and almost totally stopped drinking. I do this occasionally to keep things fresh. I am down 5lbs and have seen strength gains in all of the major movements.
I am currently in a split routine where I do upper body only mon/thur and lower body only tue/fri. Wednesday I do cardio and core. I do 20 sets for each workout, doing whatever movements I feel like doing.
For example, today I will do probably 6 sets of deadlifts, 4 of squats, then mix in 10 more sets focused on my legs and lower back.
It's really crazy man, my left shoulder was the one that was recently bothering me and with some rotator cuff exercises and stretching I was able to make the pain go away. But then all the sudden the right side started bothering me. It's very frustrating to say the least.Stop going so damn heavy @Celt
That shoulder keeps lighting you up.
Do some isometrics and therapeutic style exercises.
In full self guilt disclosure I've been extremely lazy the past 7 years or so and have really gotten out of shape.
I've lost a lot of muscle mass, gained weight lost energy etc.. I can make every excuse in the world but it's all just excuses. I've been lazy.
I've made the commitment for self improvement and have stuck to it for a few weeks now. I am just now starting to feel better, getting stronger and in better shape. I know it's not impressive but I have to start somewhere. I'm just doing calesthenics, running and improved diet with less alcohol.
Thanks for the motivation guys.
There goes another drinking buddy.
@Drinkthekoolaid , thats exactly what this thread is about, motivation.
Keep after it, regardless of how little you might do somedays. Some wxercise is better than none. Sonce i started this thread ive had more frequent struggles with shoulder problems, but i keep altering my 2orkouts to keep doing something. Currently im just doing legs, cardio and abs until i can work upperbody again.
Im getting ready to cut the grass in this heat as a part of my warmup, then its time for squats as my main movement today.

I tell ya, if you want motivation, go spectate a triathlon. People of all different shapes and sizes that got up and did something that scared them and pushed themselves to get better.
Just got done.. one of my little guys was doing some deadlifts today too. His form was great, it was fun.Me too.
Riding this tractor is making me thirsty as hell.
