Does anyone own one of these? I have looked at them and I am not sure whether to persue one. Any comments would be appreciated.

You don't feel as though a 10 limit eliminates the advantage of the design?
I rented one at a range years ago. From what I remember it shot well and very flat but was a bit clunky feeling. Trigger was spongy.

I have one. Absolutely love it. Super accurate like said above. Easy to control and keed on target. It's a hot round that's for sure.
I thought from a pistol it was the same as a .22 mag from a rifle.

It's not for everyone that's for sure. It is blocky like you said. The trigger on mine is fine. Took some gettig used to for sure.

Fair enough. You have the 5.7 upper that takes the P(S)90 mags?

So they make 10 rounder versions of that mag then. What a waste of potential. Well what can you do?
I have never seen the point of the 5.7 outside of its original military PDW role and sans the AP loading, but I know @dsdmmat runs it in a bolt gun and likes it very well thusly.
I used to have a bolt gun and an AR57 until my daughter got a hold of them. Now they reside in Oregon. My brother has a pair of Five7evens and loves them. He even shoots them with a supressor.

took a class with FTNY and this came up. He said he would never carry it due to over penetration issues. He thought it would for sure be a through and through.

Every now and then I toss the idea of getting one of these around... it seems like it's fun and easy to shoot. And terminal ballistics are hotly debated... but the Ft. Hood shooting has me leaning towards it being more effective than not.

According to the video above, what makes these better than say a 9mm up to a 10mm? I'm not seeing it from a pistol standpoint. Even with a long 5 inch barrel, you are only getting about

20 round magazine in a standard size grip. In the video game they are a last resort only. Used mainly for popping lightbulbs.

I had one (and a a ps90). Awesome gun. Great round. Obviously far better in free america.

Glock 17 with a plus 3 extender loaded with 50 gr Civil Defense.
Sam fisher doesn't carry a Glock 17.
The 5.7 is government issue to him too, so it has to have a safety. The 5.7 is also far lighter. Useful when you need to keep your weight to as little as possible for doing split jump. Maybe it fits his hands better? It's also made by FN, who makes his rifle, an FN2000. Why doesn't he carry an FN90 and interchange ammo? No idea, but if I had to guess, it's because he wants a little longer range with the 5.56.
