If you yourself, "Chuck D" got charged with with DWI and and also for having 11 rounds in a magazine, should the NRA, us, and whatever 2A attorney who thinks the magazine charge is unconstitutional say that it is okay for you to face that one particular gun charge because you got caught drinking while driving?
If you can't answer the question honestly, don't answer it.
If I was caught drinking and driving AND with 11 rounds in a mag and I KNEW both were illegal I wouldn't seek or expect ANY support from anyone. It's YOU that don't get it.

Unless and until SCOTUS says so...we're stuck with the Safe Act and we ALL could be charged with violating it. The component of this issue that you absolutely refuse to recognize is that not all charges JGS faces are Safe Act violations. The media highlights the Safe Acrl crap because it sells papers and draws an audience.
I sincerely hope he beats the Safe Act crap...and does time for the rest.
You and the other vocal few can try and rationalize his dilemma all you want and wrap it in the 2nd Amendment in an attempt to cover the stench but honest law abiding gun owners never asked JGS to supposedly martyr himself or become the spokesman for the cause. This is a guy who hungbup an RPD uniform over the counter in his shop and told everyone who would listen that he was hired by RPD under a grant and worked in the narcotics division until the grant money ran out. RPD never hired Officers who didn't complete the Police Academy and place them in the Narcotics Division and paid them thru grant funding. When he did finally go to the Police Academy for another agency he was thrown out 48 hours after entering the Academy for lying to his class counselor about guess what...being former RPD along with other ethical and moral "deficiencies" detrimental to a career in law enforcement. .
When he was arrested he was in possession of a number of "badges" from various agencies, some he carried in his wallet, and a homemade " bounty hunter "badge. Wonder what he used these badges for.....hhhmmmmmm....
How about his hiring armed security guards for a security contract that covered a known grocery store on Upper Falls Blvd who didn't possess armed guard licenses and some if the guys who worked for him were either shortchanged on hours or had to chase him for their money. At least the media outlets he owed money to had the business sense to contact MCSOs Civil Bureau and have inventory seized to get paid.
THATS the kind of guy you're throwing your support behind.

This guy is bad news. Back him if you want, no skin off my nose but when thus guys business and employment dealings come to light you'll wish you didn't.

However, if you got arrested for 11 rounds in a magazine and DWI, you are a big boy and shouldn't be defended.

...and no. If I know both acts are illegal and I do them anyway I don't want your help. I own up to my own.mistakes and deal with the consequences. I don't blame "the system" for my problems...that's just a convenient excuse. One that is in widespread use these days.
Law abiding means just that. There are quite a few laws I disagree with but I obey them and I don't coddle or make excuses for those who break them.
So...practice what you preach by stoking up an illegal mag and go out and earn yourself a DWI arrest. Let me know if the NRA runs to your rescue and how much you make on Go Fund Me.

Funny thing about that Federal Constitution, well at least for those of us that swore to protect and defend it against all enemies forgiven and domestic, that includes people that say things we do not agree with, worship god's we do not believe in, sell guns that are legal everywhere else, etc., etc., etc..
