Hey Everyone. Joined a couple of weeks ago, but this is my first chance to say hey. Was a longtime NYF member, but mostly a lurker for the occasional laugh and to keep up with things. Odds are between work, family, and life the same will happen here unless I have something worthwhile to contribute, but figured I would at least say Hello. Glad to know we have an alternative to the giant corporate run takeover that occurred. So in addition to my hello, I would like to say thank you to those responsible for creating an even better alternative (IMO).

I never realized how many 1911 haters there were out there. I'll tell you what, I'll gladly pick up a Glock the day I decide fine craftsmanship, steel, dead nuts accuracy and reliability (yes, I said reliability) are no longer important to me and (which will also be the same day I have a lobotomy) decide that ugly, black, brick looking pieces of plastic are somehow superior.
Probably just as many Glock haters as 1911 haters.

While I agree with most of this, this part is what holds me back. If I know nothing on a subject, sometimes I prefer to not add my useless/substance-lacking post to the mix.
