FPC looking to fight NY 10 round mag limits, looking for potential plaintiffs

Like the title says.. FPC is looking for people that want to be plaintiffs on their lawsuit against NYS for the 10 round magazine ban..

They are looking for residents in the following areas (sounds like they already know what district Court they are planning to file in)

Kings
Queens
Richmond
Nassau
Suffolks


Anyone here going to put their money (or name/time) where their mouth is for the fight??

I already have my donation set aside for the moment they announce filings (I don't live in any of those areas so its the best I can do)

This is clearly a preemptive move with an anticipation for a favorable ruling in the NYSRPA case.. hopefully people join in and keep the fight moving forward

Will likely have to take a bunch of time off work over several years to attend hearings and trials. Also the possibility of media harassment.

If they want someone from Orange County, I'll do it.

I spoke to one of their attorneys a few years ago while they were looking for plaintiffs to challenge the AWB, and they gathered some information. I’ll gladly be a plaintiff here as well.

The left keeps hitting us with new antigun laes so we have to hit back. There is a CA case that is waiting for scotus to grant cert regarding magazine capacity restrictions.


NY is looking to implement a $.05 per round tax on ammo as well.



Id also donate if they file regardless.

I wonder if there would be any form of retaliation by NYPD Licensing if anyone in the five boroughs with a Premise-Residence permit applied.

After all, it says in their fine print that they can revoke your permit at any time for any reason.

I cant imagine the plaintiff needing to pay the legal costs with this, more just the cost of time and travel to court for the two + years it will take. The bigger concern I would have would be what @RooftopKorean mentioned, political retribution and/or harassments by the government as retaliation.
Hopefully someone steps up, or maybe FPC targets a different district where the people have a willingness to fight

I think the reason they're looking for NYC plaintiffs is so any ruling would apply state wide. NYC gets to make their own rules.

They may already have upstate people lined up.

The concern and paranoia is real. Not to mention I don't think I could dedicate the time required for all the court dates during length of the case. Between work and a child on the way its not feasible.

They more than likely have done their homework and picked that area due to the court they want to fight in

Bring it on bitches. Could care less about media harassment. I am a law abiding citizen minding my own business. You want to start with me? Have at it. It will be nothing compared to the stored up anger I have accumulated over the years. If they need someone from my county I'm in.

Thats IF scotus takes up those cases

Also Washington JUST passes their law like a few days ago... it's no where near being up to SCOTUS for review
