Frame imperfection.DOA Trijicon. Worth sending for warranty ?

I love my remingtons & There CS dept. has been prompt to my inquiry about this new pistol.

The perfectionist in me found this nub on the bottom of the frame rail. No real effect on the slide action. Seems cosmetic only.

I'm thinking ,the black oxide finish would be off from the rest of pistol if the tit is removed at warranty.??

Also, the front trijicon sight was DOA , so at a minimum the slide has to go in for that to be replaced.

I think the cost of sending the frame overnight would be 50$ ish, while I believe I could send the slide usps for 8$.

What would you do, besides shoot it?

Send the slide in to get the front sight replaced. Don't worry about the nick on the frame.

I concur with the above. Dead front sight is very much worth replacing.

Told the rep I wasn't to concerned about the tit, just want a working Trijicon.
He said Rem wants the whole pistol, won't take just the slide.
Good news is they cover the overnight shipping.
See what happens.
