Medical supplies:
When ever I take my son to the doctor or I visit urgent care, I make sure to indulge in their complimentary supplies. I usually take antibacterial ointments, bandages, tongue depressors and rubber gloves. The urgent care I go to has free face masks for people in the waiting area. It's ok to take this stuff, its like taking the towels from hotels.
One particular restaurant I know has free match books for people who visit. I grab a handsful whenever I stop by. I also take the free toothpicks and packaged mints just in case.
Whenever I am going to be in the field I stop by the companies supply storage and gather some equipment. I commandeer things like ear plugs, batteries, 1 flash light if there's too many(flashlight management), paper clips, markers, duct tape, wires and maybe a pair of safety glasses.
On craigslist I scroll through the FREE section a lot. I've picked up tents, sleeping bags, portable propane grill, tools and even other bug out bags.
