True, I keep forgetting that. Garbage town w/ garbage laws.
I just bought a few of these bags. They aren't expensive.I just put this in my bag.

To help protect it I wrapped it in thick foil with an insulating layer in between.
I could see something like this being useful, and now I have aluminium foil for whatever

Did you really buy from them, and received it? I'm about to order, but man this is the sketchiest unsafe website I've ever seen. Not even contact info, or Secure domain for safety..and that "captcha"..fake as shit looking lol... Man I'm afraid for real. I think now that I know what a good price is I'll find them at a more secure ordering site..
Yes. It took 3 weeks to ship. I bought Quantity of four 8”X10” Faraday Cage ESD Bags.Did you really buy from them, and received it? That's a good idea. I'm going to buy a few more handheld radios and flashlights and throw them into one bigger bags to keep at home.I just bought 10 15x18" figure I'd toss a few smaller things into a bag then nest em all..instead of the smaller sizes they had didn't thrill me. I like the idea of a bunch of big ones that I can make use of smaller stuff and bigger stuff and nest them for triple, quadruple protection![]()

I recently got this for Christmas too.

I would think so but I'm no expert. The bags are cheap so it doesn't hurt to stash a few things in there.i didn't even think about that!
Our LED flashlights would get fried with a EMP, right?
Nice! I have (3) of those in the 15 watt versions that have all the alligator clips and connectors for running shit straight through with a solar controller or using it through the Marine batts. I love those little solars.
Slow boil and before you know it she'll no longer bat an eyelid at stuff she'd freak out over currentlyI think I finally convinced my wife I'm not crazy and I'm starting to put a bag together for her in her vehicle. She works close to home (5 miles) but if nothing else if we happen to be in her vehicle farther from home it would be nice to have.
Wow that is a nice idea. You'd need a reader of some sort but if the interwebs are down you have a bunch of stuff. I have the SAS survival manual in one vehicle. Got it years ago for the heck of it and it's packed full of pretty decent info. But it's just one book.I put together a gazillion documents for just in case. Check http://www.realitybleed.com/ . There is a zip file with a bunch docs on bugout. A good rule to follow is over pack and if the situation arises to use the bag, go through it and discard items you may not need. For example, I tend to be lazy and don't like going through my pack each season to set it up season specific so I keep a mix. Also, it is more of a bug out bag meant for longer term. You may have to move on a moments notice and its comforting to know that you have a bag that can keep you going for a longer period of time and know it is in the car. In the event you find yourself 30 miles from home and anticipate only a couple days to get there, you can easily ditch in-needed items.
I like that, but might I recommend you swap that water bottle with a water bladder instead. You can get a tough one that takes up less room and could be a gallon in capacity.
Pepper spray is also legal in NY (I think in NYC too but not sure), and would be a good addition to one of those, though I personally keep a can in the car in the center console anyway.
A survival sleeping bag isn't a bad idea, or at least emergency blankets (the latter being super cheap and take up no room).
Yes. But I drove in at the time. I worked out of the upper Manhattan then so it didn't really effect me.
Now I work in Midtown so I have to take the train.
I have a lot of crap in my car for this but nothing organized in a bag
So my New Year's project is to put together a small get home bag
I'm about 30 miles from work with one big Hudson river between me and home dog and boy
Different from a bug out bag I have that at home. Does anyone have a good resource or some good input ?
Amp an hour in ideal conditions, that will charge things if you have patience. It will be coming from the sun at 18v though, that's where the charge controller regulates it to th voltage needed without cooking things. How do you like them? What can they realistically charge, and how long does it take?
I'm looking to get this or very similar
