Getting ready for 3 gun in New Bremen

Just got the IPSC targets this afternoon. I am ready to shoot this.

Yeah you and me both. I still plan on setting up targets for running and gunning at New Bremen just for me and maybe a friend or two. Nothing formal. I need to get some 1x2s for the target stands.
I have open and stock class guns to run.
It is nice being able to run to a range that is 6 minutes from my house so I would miss that. It is a good range and good for mail matches and shooting quick before dinner time.
I suppose I could join multiple clubs as they are pretty cheap dues up here.

Nice things about that club are the distance and the density of shooters. Not a lot of people shoot there on a daily basis.
@Bullet Guy do you run 4 or 5 foot legs on your silhouette targets?

I am using this target stand so I need to figure out the best height for the support legs. I am going with 5 feet long.

Easily adjustable, fits in my car well enough. It is affected a little by wind - though it has those holes where I put a pole into the ground.
I was going to build one of those $15 PVC target stands when I found those steel ones for $20 each, delivered. (now double that)
The difference between 4 and 5 feet legs. We will stick with 4 feet for most stuff. I have 12 5 foot boards that will be used for something. 4 foot legs were at 7 yards the 5 foot were at 10 yards.

Sorry. 4 foot. We are cheap so we cut down 8 footers.
We place the targets closer to the berm. If not possible then you will need to go higher....all depends on how far you are from your berm.

You need quad load shotgun shell holders. Ghose are ancient technology and harder to use

Because,
1) I already have this.
2) I don’t know if 3 gun is going to fly up here. I am not going to drive 3 hours to an event ( those days are long over).
3) I don’t need to spend anymore money on gear for this event.
4) cause new technology isn’t always the answer.

Heh. The last time i did 3gun i watched bulletguy's glock jam over and over again. My 1911 Llama ran fine the whole time. Ain't always about the newest shit.
But that is only because you don't clean it.
And yeah I know you hate my llama already bulletguy. But i carried them through some the roughest parts of central america and never worried about failures.

Ha ha ha. Yup. I did notclean it and it jammed. True.
But everytime you bring this up (which you like to do on several occasions) i feel the need to point out the results of that match.........who won that match? By what percentage over second place? Ha ha ha.
It gave me the opportunity to touch up on my malfunction drills. Clearly, i can handle multiple malfunctions and countinue with the job at hand.

Just ran 115 rounds through the pistol doing mag change practice (2rounds per mag). Ran 100 rounds through the 10/22 doing mag change drills and 30 shells through the shotgun practicing loading from empty. I am pretty confident in my gear, now just waiting for the buzzer to go off.
Only need 1 1/2 of these but I am bringing all 4 so I can miss more.
Well... Got the pistol I am going to use Saturday. Moving down to 9mm. I know @Bullet Guy is going to make me eat my words...
