I did read that about factory ammo, a lot of it is watered down. I was looking at underwood or some Hornady ammo. How was the g40? I heard that the recoil isn’t too bad in the g40.

The G40 handles the recoil well, max loads are stout for sure but manageable. I was able to lay 10 rounds in a good group pretty fast. Its not uncomfortable to shoot imo. I think you will be very happy with your G40. I think the Sig factory is not to watered down for range type stuff. I will ask my buddy, since he has tried several types and report back.

I read that about the sig ammo. I have 2 boxes of sig and 2 boxes of Remington UMC.

Shot 100 rounds thru the g40. Not bad at all. My wife even shot it.

Shot another 100 rounds tonight but this time I used the sig ammo. The sig ammo shot a lot better than the Remington UMC ammo. Didn’t really notice a power difference. To be fair, the umc ammo was me getting used to the pistol. My wife shot the g40 a lot better than her g43. It was fun but we suck with pistols lol. But we are learning.

Its not the easiest pistol to shoot, but with practice you will get there. But, it wont be cheap to practice with.

I am thinking more practice using my 9mm and maybe get the 10mm hunting ready. I have a red dot that is going on it. Practice how I plan on using it?

I talked with my buddy and he said the Sig and Remington UMC is the better of the range ammo and the American Eagle and S&B are watered down.

Locally, sig is about $10 cheaper than the umc. Problem is, I can only find sig at gander outdoors. I found federal hydro shock 180 500 pack for $315 shipped. Just trying to make it to a ffl to get paperwork to have it shipped there.

I have debated on getting those. I really need to get another box to try out and see how it does since I got some trigger time on the g40. They r just so expensive locally ($36per box).
