Sigs look nice but their tight tolerances cause jams when dirty. A combat pistol shouldn't be designed with match accuracy in mind.

My GTG is a SIG P229 and then, a Colt 1911 WW1 issue for back up. Been shooting both for decades and never had a malfunction with either. I guess that makes me twice as stupid as the fauxpert's.

I've handled a few Lugers over the years but only fired one for the first time a couple months ago, 15 yards and the first two were in the bull (1") final group was about 3" with another bull and one maybe cutting it. I think old man Luger had me in mind when he did the ergonomics on that pistol, hits where you point and points where you look. Don't think I would want one as a combat arm though.

In all seriousness, none of this really matters. Overseas, a pistol is almost never used as a primary outside the wire.
