Depends on where you at and where you aren't supposed to be.
I do believe they mentioned that in part in the article, but it is more for an everyday normal no issue carry, say to Walmart or some shit
Walmart, typically, don't care. People open carry through Walmart in PA.
Hell I've "accidentally" open carried at Walmart here in NY

The “printing” can be bad especially if the person is bending over to pick up something.
But what really drew my attention was how the person reacted when I looked at them in uniform. A panicked look with a hand or arm to “check” their gun was a big red flag

I’ve been carrying for years. It’s all attitude and being cool. You’re not a special snowflake, everyone else is too busy or wrapped up in their own lives, or cellphones, these days to even notice. Hell, you could probably open carry 80% of the time without a glance.

I did a social experiment a few years ago, when i first got my CCW. I wore a hoodie over a concealed G19 in a Blackhawk! SERPA holster around town during various errands I was running. I made sure to pay close attention to the people around me, looking for reactions, or people noticing and watching me. What I found was... no one gave a F$%#. As the article says, people were either so wrapped up in their phones or their day to day life that no one noticed. After that i switched to IWB, then eventually AIWB holsters, and haven't cared much about "printing" ever since.

I have made out plenty of people out in stores. Does it matter? No. It's legal.
I was once made out by an off duty NYPD cop in the supermarket. Did it matter. No. It's legal and I was in Orange County. I was sloppy and went there quickly. My shirt kept riding up as I was taking groceries out the cart and putting them on the conveyor belt.
Now if you do the same in let's say New Jersey for example or in a school and a cop sees you and wants to make an issue if it, it does matter.
Most regular people can't spot a concealed carrier. But if you and I can spot a concealed carrier, a cop certainly can if he's looking for it in a place you aren't supposed to conceal carry.
So to people that say it doesn't matter and you are paranoid, that's correct if you are legal. Not so if you aren't. Most people here never leave their counties so their opinion is skewed. I go to Westchester county a lot and while I'm legal there, I do it properly so as not get made out. Why? Don't want the hassle. I just want to go about my business without incident and questions.

Carried on NYC trains and buses everyday for 30 yrs.IWB and pancake holster carry.Never gave it much of a thought,never had an issue.In the summer I would often just wear a loose fitting t-shirt.Either a S&W mod 60 or my Glock 19.I think most people,especially when new to cc,put too much thought and effort into the issue,making it an issue.
