We have to stop playing defense and need to start going more on the offense litigation wise and politically. Other states need to step up and start supporting NY's and CA's fight against this shit. We have to be pushing back the tide, not just holding it back.

• I believe most of the US population resides in areas that would be classified as more urban.

• Many “city dwellers” own guns & are against infringements on the “right to keep & bear”.

• Many “rural folk” are not gun owners & are in favor of infringements.

• I haven’t conducted a proper study to determine percentages in favor of various policies, etc.

• Regardless, we have to deal with the reality on the ground. We need to be more assertive in the PR area & in pushing for more deregulation.

• It seems most of the population is indifferent & excepts what’s presented to them as “facts” by various mediums (media, public educational institutions, etc.).

• You’d be shocked how much you can get people to understand & agree with our “perspective” with a little effort in the PR/educational arena.

• We need to employ the same tactics that they do!

• This isn’t about “hope”! In business I don’t “hope”, I make moves! The same thing applies here!

Many people in rural areas in this state support gun control. Just look at the people here on this forum alone. The vast majority support the Brady Act, the Sullivan Act, and Red Flag laws.

You can see their support when they say things like, “Well that hoodlum shouldn’t be able to pass a background check anyway.” or “Accused domestic violence people or felons shouldn’t be able to pass a background check.” or “ It’s okay for police to preemptively take away guns from an accused domestic violence person” or “ That guy was stupid for driving here in NY with a Wyoming gun license. He deserves to be locked up for being stupid.” or “That guy is too dangerous to be ALLOWED to have a firearm.”
