Good pocket flashlight

I'm looking to buy a good pocket flashlight and would like to see if anyone here can recommend one. I was given one at work that worked ok for light use but died on me recently. I EDCed it and realized how useful it was having a dedicated small flashlight instead of relying on my phone for illumination.

Water resistance and battery life are at the top of my list of features. I'd also prefer it to be small/thin enough to not eat up much more space in a pocket with a wallet and keys. Adjustable light intensity/strobe would be a nice feature, but fixed power is fine if it's small, reliable and water resistant.

Its going for really cheap right now, I paid $48 for mine. The UI is complex but the basic functions are easy to memorize. More importantly it is stupid bright, like light paper on fire bright, and it rides in my pocket unobtrusively. It does run on an 18650 Li-Ion cell so you will need an appropriate charger but those are cheap too, Nitcore makes a series of very good chargers. It is IP68 rated for water resistant which means it will withstand full immersion in water and I usually get a weeks worth of use 8n a single charge, that equates to an average of 30 minutes of use daily, much of it on the turbo setting.

Fenix E12 v1, one AA battery, I use an energizer lithium. Have carried on in my pocket everyday for years. Have two back ups. But have not had one fail ever. I have a v2 but have not used it. It is smaller then the version 1. As little as $27 on Amazon. I have ordered direct from Fenix. I used.cheap chinese flash lights for a while, but they failed monthly.

I've been carrying the same Surefire Stylus Pro every day for work for about 8 years now. I don't think I had to change the batteries (2 AAA) more than 4 or 5 times.

I carry a Streamlight Microstream in my front pocket every day, and I use it multiple times a day. By no means is it an overly bright light, but it's usually enough to get the job done. And with a single AAA battery, it's cheap to run.

being in the heating bizz, I carry and use flashlights every single minute of everyday~~~usually,

name brand means nothing to me. I have a Streamlight Protac HL-3, the thing is stupid bright, 1100 lumens. I used it ONCE on a job. It was so bright, it was blinding, I couldn't read anything on a circuit board in a furnace.

So I now use a EverReady head lamp, its bright. but not to bright, It allows a for hands free operation. Its what I use on the job.

The Streamlight goes to camp, when I need a lot of light in a big area, especially if Einstein is out at night and he starts barking, I KNOW there is a porcupine close by, I need a good, bright light to get a good shot off.

as a EDC flashlight goes, I went to wally-world and got a 300 lumen something-or-other for 19$ and its never let me down, I have had it for 6 or 7 years
