GOP Congressmen Target Citibank’s $700 Billion Contract Over ‘Anti-Second Amendment Policies’
Sixteen Republican congressmen are asking the General Services Administration (GSA) to reevaluate a $700 billion contract with Citibank as a result of the the financial institution’s “anti-Second Amendment policies.”

The congressmen, led by Indiana Rep. Todd Rokita, sent a letter to GSA Administrator Emily Murphy on Wednesday, asking her to terminate the contract in response to Citibank’s March announcement restricting its clients participation in gun sales.

“In 2017, the General Services Administration (GSA) awarded Citibank a contract of more than $700 billion to partially implement the federal charge card program, SmartPay 3,” the congressmen wrote in the letter, a copy of which was obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“Because of Citibank’s new guidelines targeting customers wishing to exercise their legal Second Amendment rights, we urge you to cancel Citibank’s participation in the SmartPay 3 contract, and award it to a company that does not unfairly restrict a customer’s constitutional rights,” it reads.

“This flagrant attempt to undermine our fundamental rights by caving to radicals should not be endorsed by our federal government,”the congressmen added. “The federal government should instead do business with companies that respect all of our constitutional rights, including the Second Amendment. GSA should take all necessary steps to review and terminate its contract with Citibank unless they rescind their guidelines, and rebid the SmartPay 3 contract.”

“This flagrant disregard for American citizens and their God-given Second Amendment rights cannot be tolerated,” Rokita said in a statement to TheDCNF. The congressman is challenging incumbent Democratic Indiana Sen. Joe Donnelly in November.

“Those who seek to undermine those God-given rights do not deserve taxpayer dollars and should be denied federal contracts. Congress has sworn to uphold the Constitution, and it is paramount that we stand united for the American people and their right to bear arms,” said Rokita.

Sure glad these a-hole banks got that tax-payer bailout, and resulted in zero convictions from the 2008 meltdown.

Like it or not, this is one of those issues were Occupy Wallstreet and Bernie Sanders were right, these mega banks are no friend to America (and never have been) they should be broken up.

Corporations are inherently amoral, that is without morals. As opposed to immoral which is to be purposely wicked.
This bank has choosen this course because they feel that along this political alliance is where the profit lays. They must be made to realize that this is not the path of profit but of ruination.

Its the best way to hit them back. These companies start losing money, watch them shut right the fuck up and stand back in the corner. Social Justice is not what CitiBank is after, its profits, money. Thats what corporations are for, to make lots and lots of money. Its just a matter of aligning your agenda with their profit margin.
