Well, Gander was only a part time gig for the great deals on guns. Prior to my current job, I ran a rather large supply warehouse. As for not supporting due to my current employment, I can say here and now, I have never violated a persons 2A Right. Ever. Never have and never will./

So when a drunk guy from Colorado crashes his truck into the median and you respond, you are just going to hold his AR and magazines and not charge him with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and return it to him one he gets out of the drunk tank? DWI will be his only charge?

One is too much or supporting another cop who does because the one arrested drives a tow truck drunk or sags his pants and otherwise committed no crime where his 2A rights are infringed on is too much as well.

Anyway, is time to go to bed. Cop haters need to get their sleep too if they want to wake up at 4am to get their train out of a yard to take other perps to work.

Actually I have, but all perps comitting crimes. I 100% have overlooked more gun laws than anyone on this forum. In the last two months I was party two 3 pretty serious transgressions which all got worked out.

Difference is, they weren’t perps. This guy is. People who support perps are dispicable. I don’t give 2 shits about stating that I hate perps and will get them any way possible. Period.

Perps are responsible for the crime they perpetrated, period.

Adding on other "non crimes" like guns possession because you don't think he'll suffer enough for the real crimes he committed is a bit too close to judge jury and executioner to me.

I've said it before, If a guy has a pile of 30 round magazines on top of a dead hooker in his trunk, the only thing he should be charged for is the hooker.

Police officers are supposed to uphold the law, I see nothing wrong with @Airborneguy comments. This guy broke the law multiple times at once and happened to have a firearm in his car that is illegal in the state that he broke the law in. Perhaps he should have thought of that before he drove drunk, risked other lives and crashed.

Obviously @Airborneguy believes in the 2nd amendment (I assume), but it sounds like he cares about people's wellbeing and his duty to protect as well. I would rather not have a drunk person behind the wheel on the same roads my loved ones drive on, gun or not. Sure there are other states that he wouldn't have gotten a firearm charge in, but not the one he committed the crime in.

It's very simple, know the laws of the state you're in. I always do, I assume most other people here who travel with or carry a firearm do as well.

There are truly “accidental” perps. This guy isn’t one of those. I’m very willing to stake my “hunch” experience on this one. It’s very likely he isn’t really residing in Colorado either. There’s a Tacoma with a Colorado license plate that parks down the block from me. I see it driving around the neighborhood. Car registrations and addresses on licenses mean nothing. Perps frequently keep old addresses as part of their lifestyle.

A man or woman that commits a crime like driving drunk has rights too. He or she has the right to a speedy trial and all the other rights listed in the Bill of Rights afforded to him or her.

It's funny how some here agree with that but not with his 2A rights. That's different all of a sudden compared to his other rights.

Just the mere fact that anyone says that he should have known the laws of the state he was in shows agreement with the infringements of that state.

That's not the law in any state so you have to compare apples to apples. I'm not saying I agree with the law and obviously I'm pro 2a, but just know the laws in the state that you're in because it's a losing battle. Sucks, but it is what it is.

I agree with what you say. It's all you can do. Regardless it's wrong and it bothers me when people defend it because of who the person is. It gives validation to it.

I'm very black and white about things. I don't like to shrug my shoulders because one day it can happen to me. I may very well be that guy that everyone else thinks is a criminal or becomes a criminal for one reason or another by mistake or when I say enough is enough.

There are people here in this forum who have said enough is enough already and take fully featured AR's to the range. Now let them fall asleep at the wheel and have ambien, a beer, or cough medicine in their system and they become this guy.

We could very well be talking about some guy named @insert name here who we respect with 1000 posts from this forum a year from now who just had a bad day and people here will just be saying, "Fuck him! He's a criminal!" because he looks scruffy with a mohawk, or a man bun, or an afro.

Colorado man arrested with loaded AR-15

Burns
GOSHEN – A Fort Morgan, Colorado man was arrested on Sunday morning for possession of a loaded AR-15 assault rifle following a motor vehicle accident on Route 17 in the Town of Goshen.

State Police from the Town of Wallkill barracks responded to the highway and determined Jeffrey Burns, 35, had driven his pickup truck off the road and struck a car parked on the shoulder.

It was determined that Burns was intoxicated. Further investigation revealed the loaded weapon as well as several magazines and several hundred rounds of ammunition.

He was charged with three counts of felony criminal possession of a weapon and a misdemeanor of DWI.

Burns was remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.

Take a good HARD look at this genius.

Dude! You go to the range and shoot BEFORE you go drinking. If he'd gone to the range first, he'd never have had that much ammunition with him on his way home.

True, but we shouldn’t fall into the trap of being defeatist because unconstitutional laws are allowed to be the law of the land here. We need to abide by them, due to force of law, but we do not need to be silent about them either.

I preface by saying this" I hate each and every law that has been enacted that limits our Right under the Second Amendment.

Now that I have gotten that out of the way....

LAWS ARE NOT UNCONSTITUTIONAL UNTIL THE HIGHEST COURTS OF THE LAND SAY THEY ARE!!!!!
