Probably a carry piece. I have a 3" & 4" Kimber, 2 Beretta storms, S&W 686+, HK 45c, HK vp9, Walter PPs M2, Ruger sp101, and a few more. Thinking about a Sig. The only Sig I have is a P220

I got converted to a Glock fan boy by the 43, so I would recommend that to anyone. I can't say anything bad about sig's so that's a solid choice as well. My current itch is red dot equipped pistols. I have yet to own one but I'm working on that. So you could always look at modifying one of your current guns instead and add a red dot.

The Sig P320RX comes with a red dot. They are on back order at The Gun Center.

I read there has been a good deal on S&W Shields. It's a nice small carry piece. I see more and more 1911's in every gun store. Sig has reintroduced the 225? their single stack 9mm? "J" frames are always good, every body should have a few.
The one thing I'm hesitant about those are the red dot itself. I read mix reviews on them. I guess they aren't compatible with any other red dot. With that said I like all the features of the ROMEO and hope they work out the bugs because I think that's the next generation of pistol red dot optics.

That's a sharp gun. I've never fired a HK but when ever I pick up one the grip angle seems wrong for me.

I vote for the sig 320 in some version or the Springfield xd or xdm. I really liked those guns. I love my 3" xd in 9mm and I shoot great with it.

Do you have a Remington 1858 in 44 Beals? Buffalo Bill Cody used one. While Army was 44 Beals. I think the Navy was 36 or 38 caliber. Uberti is making reproductions that are exact; and they are beautiful and cost about $400 at Gander, Sportsmans Guide, etc. All the details are there - octagonal barrel, brass trigger guard, etc.

Probably more interested in a carry piece.
My normal non coat weather EDC's (in rotation, and as backup) are my SP101 .357 / Shield 9mm / Shield 45. For shits and grins when I have almost no means to conceal, I picked up an NAA Guardian 32. Even with a 10 round extended mag it is as small as a pack of smokes. I'm still on the lookout for an NAA Guardian 380 as well. Rugged, small, stainless, and inexpensive. Both can accept their 10 round mags +1 in the pipe.

+1 on Sig P225-A1. It is similar to your P220 but a bit thinner and everything seems better. A non-tupperware single stack 9mm DA/SA that conceals well, sweet trigger, short reset, soft shooter, real tack driver. I swear our LGS had an orgasm and giggled when he was handling and dry firing it. It is not cheap but Damn, now I think I really need another one, ah.... yeah... for the wife, yeah, mothers day is coming up.

Thanks for the suggestion on the P225 A1. I will look for it when I go down to the Gun Center this weekend. Got a lot to look at.

I think I prefer hammer fired over striker fired. I own both but I find myself carrying the hammer types more. Not sure why.
There's nothing wrong with having a preference.

I guess I was just saying that's my next piece. LOL I have wanted a Remington 1858 for quite some time in 44 Beals. And it's not like the Uberti is a trillion dollars - I just never get around to getting one. This summer for sure though. The conundrum is there are a few people making it. I like Uberti but Pietta looks really nice too. One thing I read though - the Remington needed the firing pin and inside of the frame wiped down every 3 or 4 cylinders; even if you use TC Bore Butter. That kind of drives me to thinking maybe a Colt 1860 Army is a better choice? So instead of the famous sidearm of Buffalo Bill, you are picking the sidearm of John Wesley Hardin. Such a conundrum. And I noticed last time at Gander that Pietta also makes the Colt 1851 Navy in 44 Beals; though that surprised me because I had always though the Navy was 36.
