Went down to the Gun Center today and looked at the Sig P226 Elite. Very nice. $999.99. Looks just like my P220 Super Match except shorter barrel and 9mm. Same grips and feel. They only have 1. Now I have to decide whether to get it or not. What to do.....what to do.
I have the itch too. I kinda want something that'll slap down steel silhouettes down with more authority than my 9MMs. I'd really like a P220 elite in 10MM but apparently they are now unicorns!
If your ever in the units Rome area we should shoot. I need to try some Sig's out to see what I'm missing.

Go with the Smith 642 Airweight and carry in comfort for just over $400. That's my favorite carry gun and has been since I bought it six years ago. no jaming even with the crap that gets into my pocket which is alot. Best $400 I ever spent on a conceal carry gun. Look at the shit in the pocket sleve, would you trust a semi to fire with that much litter in the internals? My 642 takes it in stride and fires on & on.
I wouldn't want a revolver with an external hammer either, shit would get in the insides and probably jam that too.

I'd trust a semi far more in that situation. And they're easier to clear.

I like the 642 so much I bought it's cousin the stainless model 640.
My grandson loves the 640, can't wait until he is old enough to shoot it. He does great with the Ruger Mark 2s.
