Do you reload yet? if yes I would go with the 40. I know a lot of people hate 40 but I think it's an OK round. On the other hand 9mm does some good stuff out of a longer barrel.
More ammo for us! Haters gonna hate...I'm another 40 fan but if watch there's a lot of haters now days.
GP500?Can't beat the gp500 love mine. Great choice. Enjoy.

I'll also add that I understand why people may not like the .40, but I have learned to love it. I am still trying to master the round and all, but I truly do like it and as I've practiced I have seen myself get better and better with it. Maybe it's not a great "ready to run" round in the sense that it's agreeable from first shot for most people, novice shooters included. But like anything, you give it due diligence and practice, you come to appreciate it as it challenges you and you overcome those challenges.
I don't really think there are any problems with the round. Some people just don't like it. Whether it's too "snappy" or doesn't offer the ballistics they want. What "problems" are there with that round. Must be at least 20 different round choices out there
Not true! The .40 does as well.Only 9mm can defeat the dreaded frying pan armor!
but but follow up shots are slower because of the scary recoil! Not true! The .40 does as well.

Bella Napoli goods could lead to world peace if given the proper platform!Even without the cookies, it seems like a great deal.
The front sight is a tritium nite sight, but I did paint around the tritium dot with orange paint. It has helped. It's a great gun, a lot of fun to shoot.Wow, I missed this old thread. Nice choice on buying the GP100, The black front sight should get a coat of nail polish, lure paint or switched out with a white plastic front sight, it will be easier on your eyes.
From round those parts, yeah.Bella Napoli goods could lead to world peace if given the proper platform!
You must be in the Capital area.
The title says it all. Looking for opinions. I would like a 357/38 revolver and I also would like to build an ar platform pistol carbine in either 9mm or .40. I currently have a Glock 23 and would like a carbine to go with. I also would very much like a GP100, however I am on a limited budget so I can only finance one at this time. What do you all think? I know it's all subjective, but I'd like to hear some other perspectives.
