So on vacation I did some research on gun laws of the Dominican Republic. They have a treaty with the United Nations in which they disarmed their citizens and vowed not to manufacture firearms or ammunition. Now they can carry with a permit and a lot of hula hoop jumping. 65,000 legal permits and an estimated 865,000 unregistered weapons in rotation. The bribing of officials is allowed and in fact encouraged if you would like special toys. The full auto glock my cousin carries over there cost him about 60k in American dollars. That includes the bribe. The glock alone was 3k because of supply and demand.
