Scored this little gem at an antique shop / private dining restaurant for $300. It's authentic with all matching numbers. I don't think the owner really knew the value.

It's in absolutely amazing condition and functions mechanically 100%.

I know everyone’s on the 9mm craze, and I carry one daily at work, but the .40 S&W is one hell of a nasty round.

By nasty you mean performs pretty much identically to 9mm, but with the added pressure and recoil, then yes sure super nasty

Well, the good thing about the 23 over the 19 is that it has more conversion options. You can turn the 23 into a 19 if you want as well as a 22lr or 357sig.

Tech you can do the same with the 19 but it costs more because you need to buy a slide not just the barrels lol

Right. With the 23, with exception to the 22lr, it's just a barrel swap.

Well tech if you want complete reliability you will also want to swap the ejector for a 9mm one as well.

I'm not bringing up the argument about .40 vs. 9mm, I'm just saying it's easier to go down in caliber for conversions. The Glock 23 with a 9mm conversion barrel functions just fine. The only issue is that it tends to eject 9mm brass straight up onto the top of your head. Otherwise it functions fine. You can even use the .40 magazines with 9mm.
