You have to remove those stupid finger groves and give the trigger guard an undercut. That will make it much more comfortable and give you a better grip on it.
I've played around with all kinds of G19s .
And for me its where the hump lands.. actually don't mind the finger grooves

Also. Even though I have "smedium" hands, the G19 stops at just before the bottom of my hand

New toy. Added a GSG 1911 in 22LR. Put 150 rounds thru it today. Very impressed with it. Started off with 3 mags of CCI mini mag and then switched to Winchester 42 gr subsonic hollow point. The first magazine of 10 rounds had some hiccups but everything ran perfect after that. Did not clean or lube it, just took it out of the box and started shooting it. Was very impressed it ran the subsonic hollow points with no issue as I have had other 22’sthat would not. Next trip to the range I am going to try some Remington and Aquila ammo. Sights are nice (sort of Novak style 3 dot) and it has the weight of a real 1911. Was surprised at the quality of the magazine. It only comes with 1 mag (considering the price point it’s acceptable) but it’s a heavy metal magazine that mimics very closely the weight of a loaded 1911 magazine. Overall very positive and I think this maybe my new favorite plinker.

first time shooting a red dot on a pistol and first time shooting the 509C MRD. For 5 yards rapid fire as fast as I can pull the trigger. The 509 ran federal and wolf no problem. Very impressed with it. Borderline subcompact size but shoots like a full size. Also put 500 rounds more thru my GSG 1911in 22LR. Had no hiccups other than once at round 499 the hammer dropped and the round did not gooff. Recocked the gun and it fired no problem. Fired a mix of CCI mini mag, Winchester sub sonic hollow point and Aquila high velocity hollow point, and it feed and fired everything. I’m very impressed with it so far for a 22LR semi auto.

The 509 shoots very well. I’m surprised how much I enjoy shooting it. I did a ton of research and found it has the best out of the box OEM optics offering on the MRD model.

I like it a lot. My 1911 has no front strap checkering, so it was an easy way to add grip to the front. I like how it fits my hands.
The FN 509 family seems really solid. Many great options came out of the military MHS trials. I actually prefer most of the losers or non entrants (cz P10 family, Beretta APX family, FN 509 family, m&p 2.0 etc) to the winning p320s.
It's really a good time to be a consumer because we have so many great and solid choices. It's no longer just Glock or a metal frame hammer fired....
There are so many quality striker fired polymer frame lines going right now that IMO it comes down to user preference. You can find any number of very reliable pistols to choose from. Many of these new pistol groups can have arguments made they are better and more reliable than the "gold standard" Glocks, but Glocks have History, longevity, ubiquity and a track record on their side. It's tough to eat into that market share. So many great pistols will be relegated to small market shares, it doesn't make them bad or "lesser" it's just the way it is.
There are so many great choices for us all to pick what we like. And I haven't even talked about other great guns like hk VP9 or Walther PPQ/PDP etc...

Was able to get to the range finally to try out my USP45. Shot 1 mag at 5 yards, 1 mag at 10 yards, and then went out to 25 yards. For the first time shooting this gun, I’m pleased with how it performs. It is far more accurate then me, that’s for sure. I definitely need to practice with it so as to tighten up my group, but for the first time shooting it at 25 yards using standard 3 dot sights, I’m happy with it. My point of aim was the neck region.
