No doubt there's a few funny quips in here that made me laugh ("Ramadan -bomb- a- thon!!"), I guess I've hit a point where I'm just tired of people bashing whole groups that they know little to nothing about, based upon the actions of a few individuals, and this thread just triggered a rant. Hell, every member in this forum is likely considered by someone as a domestic extremist gun nut that's ready to commit a major atrocity any moment now, simply because they own a few guns. Anybody wearing a MAGA hat these days is viewed as right wing nut job. Every white male is a privileged individual that somehow owes every non-white, non-male some form of penance or reparations. Anybody that has graduated college in the past couple of decades with a Liberal Arts degree is a raging Communist (ok...that one may be true).

Actually the catholic churches is worse because it’s not in the Bible anywhere about not eating meat. Fish isn’t meat who knew. Let me be clear and if I came off the wrong way I’m sorry. I’m religious and Christian, not catholic so I do respect their faith what I don’t like or appreciate is how the left raises them up while bashing Christian’s. Yes you’re correct and I probably made some rude statements here.

There’s extremes on all sides. I don’t know of a person who wishes harm on anyone from planned parenthood and most of my friends are pretty serious Christian’s.
Catholics IMO bring a bad name to the Christian faith with a lot of fake teaching. Muslims for the most part get a bad rap because of the minority of extremists. They also get a bad rap because they came from horrible conditions and many have had trouble adapting to our way of life. I know a few good Muslims as well and I like them. I know some not so good ones too. Stereotypes are a hard thing and believe it or not the media has engrained us to this of Muslims as terrorists and most recently the pro-Palestinian movement has reinforced that with chants of death to Israel. I’m not saying your friend is like this.

I was baptized as a catholic, had no say in that matter..first communion as a catholic, parent mandated, but never got confirmed. My observation as a religious instructed public schooler was the nun’s were some of the meanest women I ever knew. Whacked across the hand by sister Mary beat your knuckles and one got a busted nose when another nun slammed their head on a desk top. I could go on but also, the Mass sermon’s were mostly about the follower’s failures and how much money you MUST give to the church..or else eternal damnation. I never left mass feeling good about myself. Attended a few othe denomination church gatherings, non catholic,Christian, and it was actually enjoyable. Pastor was uplifting, there was singing, left feeling great.

i would say them covering up child molestation is included in false teachings since that’s covered in the Bible, so is hypocrisy and about 20 other things they broke. In all seriousness this is one of the major reasons why the Catholic Church is shrinking. Now they are sanctioning gay marriage to try to save them and keep bribing money in.

I did all the same and was confirmed. I hated the Catholic Church, the priests and bishops thinking they were better than you, the monotonous “teaching” and money grabbing. I started going to a church about 25 years ago and I can count on one had how many times they have asked for money during g a sermon, the pastor has never said he’s better than anyone and are real people. A good church and pastor makes all the difference IMO. The Catholics do not teach or preach based on the Bible IMO and run it like a business trying to sink their teeth in you for life but then when you pay for a funeral suddenly you’re going to heaven.
Well, if you don't like it (Muslim Bashing) then too bad. This side of the world is Christian so get over it. There's no need to cowtie to the 1% of the pop any more than it is necessary to do it for the 4% or 13%...
And yeah, I haven't read lately about Catholics storming Mosques and killing Muslims but this happens very often in the Muslim world, try using News Media not from here in the U.S. as there was a recent event in Egypt not too long ago! So FUCK THEM... Couldn't give 2 shits about abrading their feelings! I remember the motherfuckers dancing downtown after 9-11 and elsewhere... But I've never met one who had the balls one on one to profess their hate an anger towards an American! Like most sheeple, they hide behind others and only act in concert.

I hear a lot of bashing catholics for protecting pedophiles in the Church, but at the same time Mohammed was a pedophile, the act being protected by the Quran, as well as protecting beastiality.
I'm an atheist so I'll pick apart all religions, but there's only one that currently wants to kill all non believers. Not just the extreme Muslims think non believers need to die. Islam is the youngest popular excepted religion so maybe it'll grow out of that train of thought, doubt it.
Every other religion can peacefully live with the others and adapt to other cultures. Islam can not.
