I had heard about that. Two things come to mind, active military are probably exposed to much bigger and many more explosions than us civilians, and, honestly, I've only heard it on those late night ambulance chaser commercials. Now I aint saying its not an issue, just have to wonder how widespread a problem it is,I got a pair of gel plugs from a Marine buddy he said came from the military.I used em a couple times, cant find them now.The foam just get thrown away.
Opscore AMP are hands down the best you can get. They’re fantastic. Especially if you spend a little more money and make sure you get the NFMI option and connectorized if you care about swapping to different comms whenever you want. View attachment 160351
They did a great job developing the tech and it’s executed extremely well. With the NFMI ear buds and having the audio transferred from the headset to the earbuds, it sounds exactly the same but gain the protection of wearing double earpro. Running all of that (or even just the AMP headset by itself) along with a suppressor is peak performance.Exactly what I have with the NFMI. Love them!

I had a pair that failed while I was in. Used them once for 3 mins and then tossed them. I don't know why the military doesn't invest in electronic ears for soldiers. It's one of the reasons I bought the pair I did, I want to make sure my ears are protected.
I've got those on a Howard Leight headset. The replacement ear foam pads are much softer and more comfortable. Also for most ear pro you can also buy upgraded gel cups to eliminate the head/ear pain that comes from wearing earpro for prolonged periods of time. They conform to your head better, they’re softer, they have a cutout on the top of the cup that helps with wearing eye pro by having a relief cut for the temple of the glasses to sit over instead of getting completely crushed into your head.
