Welcome!I found this forum searching for a problem with the bolt catch on my AR 10. Looks like a great forum so I joined. I live in Saratoga.....Look forward to learning from you all.
I built an AR 10 and the catch isn't catching the bolt. I haven't messed with it to figure out why. Wondering if the lower parts kit came with a 15 bolt catch. I have to take my 15 upper off and compare them.....Otherwise I have no idea why it wouldn't be working....What was ( is ) the problem with your bolt catch ?
10 and 15 lower parts kits are different. Specifically the Mag Release and Bolt Catch but i am not sure what the differences are. This is my first build. My 15 i purchased completed....Welcome to the forum. I don't know about AR10's but I know with AR9's there is really no milspec. I had an issue with a bolt I bought that said it would work with Glock lowers, only when it came to mine it didn't. The lower I have has a last round bolt hold open feature that engages the standard AR bolt catch. Only with this one particular bolt, it wouldn't allow for the bolt to cycle. The bolt catch was making contact with the bottom of the bolt as you tried to pull the bolt back. After much frustration dealing with the bolt manufacturer, I contacted the dealer I bought the lower from and bought a bolt from him, that works flawlessly.
My point is, I would imagine that there is also no real milspec for AR10's yet either (maybe I'm wrong). Is there a difference in lower parts kits between AR10's and AR15's or are they the same? If they are the same, it may be the bolt or the mag?
Welcome. You'll soon realize this isn't a great forum, but more like that blurry girl at the bar at closing time. Not really great, but no other viable options with the time remaining.
Talk about high standards...I thought she was a good lay.BTW, her name is Tammy and she has a fake tan and smells like stale cigarettes.

NYGF- taking "been there, done that" to a different level.I don't know what that means.
This brought back memories of the late 80's and early 90's and made me laugh. I was a regular at the Palladium and Limelight clubs in NYC back then. Almost every chick smelled like a mix of hairspray, fake leather and mint gum.BTW, her name is Tammy and she has a fake tan and smells like stale cigarettes.
