Hi, My name is Tom . I'm very excited to be a member of this Forum.

I'm looking forward to buying my first semiautomatic rifle after I get some information/advice from the members here. After getting some range experience with that firearm I'll be looking to get my pistol permit and then who knows what the future holds after that.

But I'm really looking forward to learning a lot from the members here and being a member of this Forum. I'm over the age of sixty and looking forward to semi-retirement and learning how to be a responsible gun owner.

Thank you to all for the warm welcomes. I have posted a few posts already and have just ordered a FightLite SCR-001. Now I need to get some info on Magazines and ammo. The people I've interacted with so far have been very friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you all again and a Happy Thanksgiving to every one.

Welcome to the site. If you have questions about gun laws in NYS, just take what you would believe to be a perfectly logical answer and turn it ass backwards 180 degrees and you will be pretty close to the actual law.

I have been posting quite a bit in the Long Guns section because there was already a thread devoted to the SCR rifle . Looking forward to talking to all of you on the Forums.
