Help me pick some guns

Thin grips on a 1911 are great for a Smallish hand and there are plenty in 9mm too choose from and 22LR slides are available. CZ makes some great guns my hands are medium size and 75B with hogue rubber grip feels like it was made just for me. They also make a Kadet 22LR upper.

Home defense use think about a picatinny rail for a light although streamlight has come out with a clamp on light that I'm tempted to pick up.

I've been doing research for that one gun that can serve the many uses. The CZ Compacts, the Omega keeps popping up as the potential winner.

For a 1911 .22lr, I enjoy shooting my Sig 1911-22. It's a full size pistol (same as GSG 1911-22).
I also have the Ruger SR22 which is fun to shoot. Both eat any brand of ammo I feed them

So I've talked to two people now who crushed my pipe dream that maybe my town doesn't bother to call their applicants nor their references and just submits the application after a cursory check of the individual. Both of these people said that a permit application in my particular township results in a two year turnaround. Stellar. So, with another whole fucking year to save up, I'll be able to get more of the guns for the different things they'd be used for. So I'm enlisting the help of you guys to put in your ¢2 as to what I should be considering for each use... or you could just tell me to eff off and go you're own damn research. Keep in mind I have smallish hands, so full size anything would have to be considered a staple for any self respecting gun owner to have. This is what I need preferably 9mm:

- range/primary home defense gun that also comes in a 22lr variant
- EDC gun (likely a Glock 43)
- compact 1911 (92fs compact?)
- 22 variant of 1911
- backup home defense gun for the basement

I have no preference for hammer or striker fired, but lean toward a da/sa trigger vs solely da trigger

9mm EDC... M&P shield, XD MOD 2, XDs, or Springfield 1911 Range Officer compact 9mm.
.22LR.. Ruger SR22, Walther p22, Ruger Mark IV

I'll have to look into the range officer. Seems like the sr22 is tops when it comes to getting a 22 semi auto, bar the Ruger Mark series, Buckmark and the like. Has anyone had experience with the ISSC M22? Looks like it could be a nice shooter.

Yup, PPS is the single stack subcompact model, PPQ is a Glock 19 sized(slightly larger actually) duty gun. The CCP is also a subcompact single stack but uses the uncommon gas delayed blowback action with a rotating barrel like the HK P7. Chief advantages of the CCP over the PPS are supposedly reduced recoil and an easier to rack slide. There is also the PPX which is Walthers budget gun, using a shrouded DAO hammer mechanism. The PPQ is derived from the P99, specifically it is a rebranded P99 RAD. The PPQ .22 is indeed made by Umarex. Frankly for an inexpensive but quality .22 pistol I am also inclined toward purchasing a Ruger SR 22.

Same thing, different name, well the Creed has been styled to more resemble it's more illustrious sibling the PPQ. I think it's about $100 bucks cheaper than the PPQ, but it's not as if the PPQ is so expensive either. Never even seen a PPX/Creed in the wild so I have no opinion other than I'd rather have the PPQ.

Just read an article in Shooting illustrated that PPQ stands for "police pistol quick". Definitely have to add it to the list of potential home/range guns.
