Hogg, who holds a 4.2 grade point average, said he got the rejection letters two weeks ago.
Help me here...when I was in school the top GPA possible was 4.0 (average of grades based on: A=4, B=3, C=2). What has changed? How can a GPA be more than 4.0?

Parkland School District uses a 3 tiered grading scheme with a range from 0 to 5.0. Hogg is no where near the top of his class . I understand in placements he is high in the second quartile.

Online travel website TripAdvisor said it will stop advertising on right-wing host Laura Ingraham's television show after she attacked a victim of the February Parkland, Florida school shooting on Twitter.
In a statement on Thursday, a company spokesperson said that TripAdvisor does not "condone the inappropriate comments made by this broadcaster."
"In our view, these statements focused on a high school student, cross the line of decency. As such, we have made a decision to stop advertising on that program," the spokesperson said.
Earlier on Thursday, pet food company Nutrish said in a tweet that it is "in the process of removing our ads from Laura Ingraham's program."
The companies were responding to a controversy over a tweet sent by Ingraham on Wednesday appearing to mock David Hogg, a survivor of the massacre that left 17 students and adults dead.

Just pulled out of trip being set up through Trip Advisor and communicated why. It felt pretty good. Also sending letter to Dept of Agriculture and FUES complaining about Rachel Ray's Nutrish (aka Ainsworth Pet Nutrition) violating Federal and NYS law with blatant false ingredient claims. Just out of curiousity I did a quick search on when he turns 18. I can't find his birth date anywhere.
It's the first time that I have seen that on Wikipedia. On the right hand side of a Wikipedia page
there is always a birth date to present or the date of death for the person that is on that page...
