Just move they said.Ahhh.... the NY SAFE Act + Maryland's ban list for the entire country. AWESOME!
If it is ruled unconstitutional how do we enforce it. Will Garland send in the National guard in to protect our rights.. Sure we can sue and maybe collect damages .. Who suffers. the tax payers. It seems we cannot hit the folks that passed the laws in the pocket book.As much as I hate the risk, I think this needs to happen and happen now while the Supreme Court is the way it is. An AWB cannot pass the Bruen test or constitutional muster. It should be ruled unconstitutional and put it all to bed for the whole country. My main worry would be that certain elements of an AWB, would be held as constitutional. What those are or would be I do not know.
Not only is such a phrase intended to needlessly scare the public, but its vagueness also gives anti-gunners free rein to ban an ever-growing list of firearms. At some point, any firearm could be classified as an “assault weapon.” |
With Pelosi’s House likely to pass this latest gun control bill, the deadlocked Senate truly is our only hope of defeating it. |
…And after Senate Republicans’ betrayal of gun owners in June, we’re going to have to fight extra hard to ensure the 15 Republican backstabbers do not surrender again. |
Right now, pollsters give both Republicans and Democrats an equal 50% chance of winning the Senate majority. |
In other words, pro-gun Senators cannot afford to lose a single vote. |
But, if Republicans betray gun owners again by voting to ban so-called “assault weapons,” thousands of gun owners in swing states across the country will stay home on Election Day. |
GOA’s own internal polling has found that 97% of gun owners would NOT re-elect a legislator who votes for a ban on “assault weapons.” |
Let’s also not forget that Bill Clinton still blames his massive midterm losses in 1994 on his passage of the semi-auto ban AND the Brady Bill. |
And even for those anti-gun Senators like Pat Toomey who are retiring, a vote to ban so-called “assault weapons” would certainly lead rural Pennsylvanians to sit out this election and let the virulently anti-gun Democrat candidate win the open Senate seat. |
That’s why it’s CRITICAL that the House and Senate hear the catastrophic electoral consequences of voting for this assault on our rights directly from voters like YOU. |

four gunmen have killed a combined 42 people with assault weapons—including 19 children in Uvalde, Texas.
I don't know. What I do know is that the push for AWBs is never going to go away until the Supreme Court rules it illegal for Congress or any state to enact one. Maybe even then, the fuck faces will just keep trying, but at least we will have had that precedent set. Who knows what the court will look like even a year from now, so IF this is going to happen to us, I think we have a better chance of shutting it down in the courts now.If it is ruled unconstitutional how do we enforce it. Will Garland send in the National guard in to protect our rights.. Sure we can sue and maybe collect damages .. Who suffers. the tax payers. It seems we cannot hit the folks that passed the laws in the pocket book.
Not this Humpty Dumpty fuck again

Sorry but this line of thinking simply makes no sense. It's like sinking the boat just to get the captain. It's illogical for the rest of the country to suffer in order to fight for a handful of states. NY being one that doesn't even want to help itself. Would you want the street you live on to become a shithole to force change of the homeless and drug problem in San Francisco? It's kinda like that.Good, pass it tomorrow. I've been saying for years the only way we get rid of the SAFE Act here is for it to go Federal. Until the rest of the country has to stop laughing at NY and join the fight, we'll never get relief here.
Yes this. Most of the rest of the country has vast freedom when it comes to owning and carrying arms. There are maybe 12 states in this country that are gargbage when it comes to the Second Amendment. There are 26 freaking Constitutional Carry states that have come about in just the last 10-12 years for goodness sake, and that number will probably be 30+ within the next 3-5 years. Other states that don't go that way still have, overall, a lot of liberty in terms of arms. Very few states even require a permit to but and own a handgun, and their permit process is mostly fair and relatively easy.
Feel free to delude yourself about Second Amendment freedom in other states, but there is no doubt that most of the rest of the country is moving towards fewer restrictions, not more.
