200 yards is what my gun range has but I can shoot at friends farm. We can get 550 yards but that is kinda close to the neighbors so we haven’t done it.
How is this scope?

The only Bushnell scope line worth it is the Elite series made in Japan.
I also personally don't get the Vortex kool aide. I've had two of their Philippines produced scopes. Compared to burris, Nikon, or my Japanese produced scopes, the quality was not up to par.
Glass was not that clear. Adjustments un precise, and Warne's recommended torque values crushed the tube on one of them. Vortex replaced the scope, don't get me wrong, the customer service was great, but they flat out told me that their tubes are thinner than other manufacturers and can only handle 15-18 inch pounds. (I let warne know about this too).
I'm not saying Vortex is bad per se, I just think they are made at a low price point and are meant to be disposable and easily replaceable. Hence the VIP warranty...but people seem to think they are top quality optics for some reason I have yet to see.

The Razor HD Gen 2 line is the top dog Japanese built line of Vortex. I have looked through a few Razor HD 1-6 scopes and the clarity is excellent. I can't personally speak to the durability of it but it is supposed to also be excellent. In those military units that are permitted to use private or unit purchase optics the Razor HD is a popular choice. Like @meketrefe said earlier different line within a brand may be good or they may be bad. The high end offerings from Primary Arms are also Japanese built, I belive from the same manufacturer that does the Vortex Razor HD line.

I won't argue you on the razor's. I should have clarified I meant more crossfire/diamondback/viper line.
Well, you get what you pay for. The Strike Eagle is a very well received budget scope.
The Viper PSTs are also popular, most people I have met that have like em.
Ultimately, @knuts, I think if you are in strong need of a scope now and $200 is all you can spare then go for it. If not I wouldn't get it just for bargin's sake. Put that $200 towards your general gun fund, pick up something nicer later if you can and also need.

I have a couple vortex’s scope, pst gen 1 and razor hd gen2. No complaints at all. I have been meaning to sit all my higher end scopes together and compare them.

I have checked the primary arms and while they are ok they are not in the level of other brands and designs. They follow the SWFA model
with the difference that SWFA has been doing this for a long time and still crap out once in a while.
I think the reason is because they are a retailer and not an optics company like nikon, vortex, weaver, leupold.
As they learn perhaps they can work on specs, research and QA but not today.
They are not alone, countless others do the same. They just put a brand on a OEM scope and sell it.
Their stadia design is ingenious but not proven to the extend it needs to be proven and more like an abstract from similar systems.
horus did a good thing on patenting their stadia designs to big manufactures so they could actually make it happen with quality glass
but for those there is an actual demand in the high end and comopetition community. We are now talking 1.5 to 3k dollars scopes.
Just to be clear for a budget scopes there are some well priced that will do the job given they can keep zero and one doesn't demand
precise adjustments from them.
Look, a simple burris fulfield 2-7 with the E1 reticle will help a lot of people do most tipical things with simplicity. Glass is not great but it is decent
and they are very well price for a budget gun for anything you want to do.
Just keep in mind the BDC doesn't really work as advertised. One can make it work but it is a lot more complicated than any scope with
a uniform unit of meausre wether they are MOA, RADIANS or whatever. And there is not substitute for knowing your gun, learning to hold shots,
and also when not to shoot (realistic with ones limits) .... or waste ammo as soon as it is in a safe manner! lol

Hey, sometimes I shoot 22LR at 200 and 250 yards just to play with the correction. It is like shooting a 308 at 700, 750 yards.
The only difference is that the tiny 22 is blown around like a little butterfly but I an hit pretty consistently a pack of cigarettes as
soon as the wind is down.
For the rest most scopes and most calibers do w/o any adjustments. point and simply hold a little as you stretch to 200 and depending
on what size target you have like lets say a small chuck. for that use something zippi like a 223.

yep yep .. never had a BDC scope .. seen some .. and from that you have to get the right ammo or reload to make it work ..
mil dot or or MOA .. you can make a dope chart or charts for lots of loads ..
When shooting 55gr HPs out of my 16" gun I found no change in POI from 100 to 200 yards with a 200 yard zero. With 77gr OTM at 100 yards the POI was only 1" low from POA.
