How much special prepping did you do for the epic storm on the way?

I went to Walmart and all the eggs were sold out! I mean every single damn packet except for one remaining organic dozen sitting there lonely on the shelf.

They had tons of milk and bread, I assume they had just restocked.

I did get the last box of $.29 5.56 ammo, though

Nothing I wouldn't normally do on a Saturday really, except that I put the car in the garage. I did top off the tanks on the vehicles and generator/snow blower and top off my gas cans though, I guess that counts.

I did also top the truck and trailer off.
Truck burns about 1 gallon per hour at idle and has over 500 gallons of capacity so that is a lot of heat and electricity. I can also slave the truck batteries to the reefer batteries and that can run for over 3 days on continuous cycle on a 50 gal tank.
Since I have one whole jar of peanut butter and a jar of preserves I'm sittin' real pretty for this storm. Travel ban in PA lifts at noon Sunday so I am just gonna catch up on some sleep in my nice cozy bunk. I even just washed all the bedding a few days ago, still smelling all detergenty clean.
Yup, snug as a well fed bug in a rug I am.

I got 20gal of Ethenol Free 91 octane gas with Marine grade Sta-bil, for the generator. over 50 cigars and a new bag of peanut M&M's. Im good for the next 4 days

I dont know if I would call them peeps as much as unknowns at this point. This will be the first real storm in the new house.

Last night I picked up extra booze. The wife is at the store now picking some small stuff. We usually grocery shop on Sunday so in reality it just slid up a day.

I have an untested snowblower. I've ran it and flung a little snow. I hope it works well for me, my last one quit with the first snow of the year.

Where I'm lacking is secondary heat. I dont have a generator hook up yet. My buddy the did the mechanicals on the house is coming back to do it when he gets a free moment.

I also got a quote for a fireplace. It doesnt so any good for this season but we will be trying to get that in this summer.

Lastly the propane tank is lower than I like it. I let the wife call yesterday and her and the office girl doesnt get a long. The office girl interrogated her on how clear our driveway was. The wife said we didnt clear it from the last storm. So they said call back when its cleared. The reality is a have a Volkswagen jetta that I make it in just fine so it was a non issue. Damn women!

Sometimes I wish my wife had more common sense like what propane is. Or the difference between .22LR and a 12 gauge shotgun shell.

Just joking, I wouldn’t have half the toys I have if that was the case.

I changed the cat litter out and dumped it (clean stuff) in the driveway.

Gave the animals a little extra feed as I’m going to busy plowing. And bedded everyone down a little heavy to help them manage the cold better the next couple days.

Not a damn thing. We're getting a bunch of rain that's going to flash freeze on Monday down here. I'm gonna do some serializing tomorrow and probably drill and tap my bolt release on my new shotgun for the enlarged release I ordered today. Maybe hit the gym in the afternoon. Maybe I'll try figuring out how I'm gonna reload in this tiny ass apartment.
