This little piece puts it in perspective nicely.
Larry Taunton: Did the Greatest Generation 'fail' us?
Larry Taunton: Did the Greatest Generation 'fail' us?
This guy is a liberal is he not? Liberals are the scum of the earth. And if he isn't on the left he needs to just come out of the closet and accept his slimeballness. It's real fucking easy to sit and criticize things that happened a half century ago while not speaking German!
Fuck this asshole! Plain and simple...
If they failed us it was by spoiling us, leaving us soft and undisciplined. As I have said before, the failure of the the "Greatest Generation" was one of love and compassion. And while I can recognize this, I won't condemn them for it.
It's up to us to re-steel ourselves. A burden that is falling on Gen Z or however they are called.
The Boomer's sin is one of arrogance, Gen X one of indifference, the Millennials one of ignorance. Will Gen Z regain the virtue of enlightenment?
Gen Z is growing up in the middle of the insanity, but none of us have seen the adversity yet. The kids who won WWII grew up during the depression.Gen z has a real chance to be a hero generation. I feel they are going to be tested more than we were and they will have to make the decision to right the ship or let it sink.
True all that except the last one. No peace with communists, simply ignore them. Until the commie makes that impossible, then kill them. Here is the true failure, when ANY citizen alive during the 1960s/1970s who allowed (w/o doing what they could to fight it) the activist Supreme Court to destroy our Republic, they failed this country. I do not care if they have more military medals than Audie Murphey, when a society collectively sits back and allows everything to fall apart, shame on them.
What killed our Republic?
- 50 years of immigrating 1,000,000 American-culture-hating ingrates from sh*thole countries, making assimilation now a dirty word,
- Destroying the original concept of preventing mob rule with voting; yes men, women, and minority citizens should vote but the Voting Rights Act's hidden agenda is to destroy the Electoral College and the US Senate voter ratio in rural states,
- Encouraging the exporting of millions of good-paying private sector manufacturing jobs to cheap overseas markets to benefit the plutocrats,
- Allowing the permanent military industrial complex to make our foreign policy (through lobbying) all the while ripping the tax payer off with billions in graft and delivering a poor product to our soldiers,
- Allowing the liberal mainstream media to brainwash the indifferent on a daily basis to support the Liberal agenda,
- Finally in the 60s we should have made peace with Ho Chi Minh early on and declared war on hippies before they became the poison infecting our: schools, colleges, courts, legislatures, news media, and Hollyweird.
