Love (not really) the debates about Constitutional Amendments...
Yes, inalienable rights endowed at birth and "NOT" a right given by Gov't.
The framers were so worried about even identifying or writing them onto paper as they feared exactly what would be happening today, that debate would rage as to their legitimacy and it that they would be bastardized! In addition, that rights not so named or identified would be excluded.
Could you even imagine the craziness today had the Bill of Rights not been added?
Bothers me to no end that today, we seemingly need to justify the 2nd, when all others are accepted with ease. Even those not specifically identified, ie, sexual preference or orientation... It's counter-intuitive!
But honestly, in this country, the debate has no merit, confiscation is not a viable options as it is an unattainable option. Though they "can" whittle that "Right" down though by making it an arduous effort to exercise them, (see "NY")... And the SCOTUS has done little to nothing to effectuate the free exercise of the 2nd as it does others, ie, "Strict Scrutiny".
The single biggest thing this Presidency needs to establish is a fortified "Judicial" branch of our Gov't that will endeavor to promote and protect the very document that establishes our form of Gov't and the powers (limited) granted to it by the "People".

The issue today is that there is a sect of the population in this country that feel the Constitution, laws, rules, policies, etc, need to be updated to modern times and the 'will' of the majority of the people. Basically they are looking to change the fabric of this country. It IS an invasion. They represent the takeover of this country with an end result of the formation of a new country. It is a silent war. Those of us who believe in the original intent and founding of this country have the right to enjoy it as intended. The others are just intruders. If another country were to invade the US, would it be allowed? The attack from within should not be allowed either.

Basically a leftist force that's not military (so therefore civilian) that the far-left can use to enforce their will/agenda. Kind of like the SA during the early days of the Nazi Party. While Hitler would make speeches and seem "moderate" the SA would wonder the streets and beat up any opposing political opposition. That's essentially how I see Antifa now. Those involved in Antifa would do well to remember what happened to the SA during the "Knight of the Long Knives."
