After the sweetheart plea bargain fell apart this was almost inevitable. They certainly didn't want the damning details to come out during a trial, especially while joe's campaign was still a thing and joe didn't want to have to pardon him while he still had a chance of re-election.

Seems to me the smarter play on all of this might have been to plead guilty anyway without the deal....just rip off the band-aid. The short term blowback to the biden campaign would have been a factor, but the media could have spun it as if hunter was a hero for owning his mistakes and selflessly sacrificing himself to avoid a costly trial. I could definitely envision that level of knob-slobbery coming from the left wing media. But being accountable is antithetical to the biden morality.

Since the campaign imploded anyway and they have landed at the same place...hunter is guilty and joe will pardon him....it's now a game of timing. Get to the sentencing while joe is still POTUS.

They can't count on Kamala doing it because she may not win and even if she did, if republicans hold the House and win the Senate they will contest it. They may not be able to stop it, but they can investigate it.

I think that could further expose the influence peddling and open up the question of have the effects of this bought influence carried over into her administration? Let's see just how deep this runs. I'm not saying harris is complicit in the act itself but could be in terms of after-effects. Perhaps next walz' cozy relationship with china gets called into question.

I doubt any of this was accomplished without the aid of deep state actors. Don't forget the ignored 150+ Suspicious Activity Reports. Money is not always the sole goal. Bribery and corruption of politicians is the mechanism by which the deep state accomplishes its goals. Hunter is nothing more than a go-between crackhead with a law degree who just happened to be a biden.
