That's a false positive argument. Just because a 'poacher' took a deer for food doesn't mean the dead one on the road wouldn't still be there.
I guess fuck it, take all of the animals of the lists of protection. We do not need all these animals and birds and such.

Fact. Deer are taken without tags every year. It's been happening for years. Is the population in danger because of it?

Actually, no I did not. I was trying to get some responses from those that hunt on a regular basis. I watched the guy last year and did nothing. I was curious of what hunters thought.
Sometimes you really are a joke. Seriously, this was about educating myself, not winning or losing. Done with you and you childish thought process.
I am not a hunter so I have no skin in this game. I am a citizen though and turning in another citizen to a government, where some animals are more equal than others, for something that is not harming others is repulsive to me.
I do not find shooting at things that cannot shoot back either exciting or rewarding. I understand it is way of life for people that goes back to the dawn of time and someday I may be required to hunt for food. Until then I am proficient at being miserable and do not have to practice it.

If that's what you think then you are entitled to it and I take no offense to it. You asked the question. Not me. You asked the question because you wanted opinions. I gave you mine. It just wasn't the reassurance you wanted. You then went on a tantrum of saying to take endangered animals off the lists because you didn't like the facts. I just pointed out the facts. Then you say you are out of here just like a child who is losing a game because the facts don't mesh with your thought process.
There's nothing childish coming from my end. You kind of already decided beforehand that you wanted to snitch even though the population isn't endangered because you follow the law unless it's a law that you don't agree with.

Do hunters and anglers really know who spends their license dollars? Not according to a recent survey conducted by the country’s foremost public opinion firm specializing in hunting, fishing and outdoor issues.
A majority of the 2,125 respondents to a recent Internet-based poll incorrectly believed that some or all of their hunting and fishing license dollars go to the state treasury to be spent on things like roads and education.
The poll--though decidedly unscientific in nature--was conducted by Florida-based Southwick Associates on its AnglerSurvey.com and HunterSurvey.com Web sites. At the very least, it’s somewhat disconcerting to think that most hunters and anglers aren’t aware that laws specifically prohibit the use of license revenue for anything other than game and fish management.
Only 39 percent of responding anglers and 47 percent of hunters knew that 100 percent of all license dollars go to the state fish and wildlife agency. A total of 68 percent of anglers and hunters thought a portion of their license dollars goes into the state's general fund.

I use to Carp with bow..... Never done Bull Frogs though..
Nothing like a good panful of froglegs, we used to Wade the small streams and shoot them with .22 shorts.
Dip them in egg/milk mixture then roll them in breadcrumbs and fry them up. They are good a couple times a year.
They got real scarce a while back and we stopped, might have to give it a go again next summer.

This thread is officially rotten like the catch of the day left in the summer sun.
Like many members I do not hunt enough to consider myself an expert hunter. Most of us are in the
same league unlike others who live from what they hunt whether is because they eat it or they guide others.
We are talking about people who live outdoors more than indoors. Not all hunters pulling a trigger btw.
But the more people I hunt with and the more I talk to the professionals and the conservation officers the
more I realize how important they are to keep not just the animals but the ecosystem healthy.
Normally down to earth people, ethical hunters and honest conservation officers, with a few exceptions
like always.
Of course there are politics involved but more times than not there is good advice and they want
all those garbage hunters and poachers either reeducated or gone all together.
Many will explain why in fact in many areas there are problems and the control is needed whether there
are too many accidents or crops damaged or in fact the animals they need protection and why.
Re-population efforts are not advertised and go hardly noticed by most and those who contribute on a day to day are never
recognized nor they do not care because they truly love the outdoors.
I have been in hunts were we can easily take the shot and we choose not because we although had
tags we knew that game could use a break in that area. Ethical hunting is not really about hunting.
I cannot even tell you how important this is in areas of the world where hunting is becoming more like
a privilege and the people who do hunt illegally do a lot of damage, sometimes irreparable damage.
So do the right thing and report anything that doesn't feel all right. Most times if something if it doesn't
feel right it is more likely not all right. Of course there is no substitute for knowing the laws and
hunters education is key no matter what.
We are in the XXI century and not the middle ages anymore.
We can see the writing in the wall as the earth is consumed by the human species. So if you can do
something about it, help, even if you don't hunt.
I am the type of guy who take a walk down the beach and picks up plastics and stuff to put later on the trash.
I do this because I love the animals and the ocean. This is the only reason. Plus is good to have
something to do while you enjoy the walk. Same thing in the forests and all that.
There is still a lot of ignorance but more people are now starting to understand the importance of
conservation and restoration.

I agree with what you are saying. How can anyone not agree with that? What I don't agree with is turning in another citizen to the government because you don't agree with a law he broke. Meanwhile those that would turn him in (lots of members here) go around breaking other laws that they don't agree with. Magazine capacities, rifle features, carry in post offices, schools, cutting down trees on their property without proper permits, ECT.
Someone else may find those laws broken that some here think are okay not to be okay. And if they were ever caught breaking those laws, they'd want the person who has an issue with them to mind their own business.
With that said, deer aren't in danger at the moment of extinction like bald eagles are.

Two complete different things.
One is related to our most fundamental rights being raped in the middle of the night and the other to a clear cut law about conservation of the wildlife and environment plus your own land
that is your property.
But I agree with one thing, don't judge about something that you are not willing to accept upon yourself.
When I tell my kids do not smoke or drink, it is bad for you I have never ever touched a drop of alcohol nor a cigarette,
otherwise I would be a Hippocrat. They can do as they wish (It is leagal anyway) but they will always remember the actual
example we give. The example is more important than all the words we could write or speak.

Three options:
A) everything is illegal.
B) law that makes all other laws illegal.
C) Use less laws and more common sense.
Patton said that fortifications are monuments to human stupidity.
The same could be said of laws that eventually replaced good tactics like wisdom, dialog and respect.
